Chapter 25: Rishi bar and restaurant
Dev in a groom's get up, stormed into a restaurant, after getting down from the Toyota Sonata that Kir had arranged for him, during the 3 days of marriage grandeur. He did not know where he went. His eyes were stinging. He felt insulted. "How dare Ador gain weight before marriage and make a fool of me in front of my relatives and close acquaintances? And Dad's sister knows the perfect way of humiliation. Ugh"
He then called for the waiter and asked for a bottle of whiskey. Only when the hard liquor went down his throat could he calm down. He felt a quiver of emotions. There was a turmoil within. Dev laughed and said, " I will not marry that fatso, come what may. Pishi imitated her like a mother hen. If she is so very fat, she will not look good beside me. I just can't stand aunty type material. Don't worry, I will convince Dad"

Ika told Dev to keep quiet when the elders would talk and just marry Ador without much chaos.
They drove back to Roopkatha, the ceremonial house booked for the marriage.
