As Inahiro spoke, he detected approaching footsteps. To his dismay, he saw numerous Sarutobi clan members converging on the scene, their numbers overwhelming.
Among them were three middle-aged Sarutobi jonin, positioned beside the patriarch. These high-ranking officials, pivotal figures within the clan, had already been briefed on the situation and shared the patriarch's resolve to discredit the Uchiha clan.
"The Uchiha clan seizes power as the new Hokage and immediately targets the Sarutobi clan. How audacious," remarked one of the senior officials with a derisive tone.
With chakra coursing through their bodies, the Sarutobi ninjas, predominantly chunin-level, formed a formidable presence. The three police captains exchanged worried glances, recognizing the daunting odds they faced.
Sensing the gravity of the situation, Daku realized that they needed to stall for time until reinforcements arrived. However, their chances of prevailing in direct confrontation appeared slim.
Unfazed by the Sarutobi clan's show of strength, Inahiro stood his ground, his resolve unshaken. But before he could respond, the patriarch stepped forward, addressing the three senior officials.
"You demand an explanation from the Leaf police force, yet it is you who disrupt village harmony and threaten our clan," the patriarch declared, his words intended for the assembled onlookers.
Inahiro, recognizing the futility of further dialogue, remained silent. As additional police teams arrived, the patriarch knew that the situation had reached a critical juncture.
With a determined expression, he began to form hand seals, rallying his clan members. "Take action! Let them learn that the Sarutobi clan will not be trifled with!" he commanded, igniting a fervor among his ninjas.
Just as the tension reached its zenith, a commanding voice cut through the murmurs, halting the impending clash.
