Chapter 19: Call Me Tom

Katherine woke up the next morning feeling a bit sad, she had dreamt about her mysterious first love walking away from her, she tried to hold his hand but she couldn't reach him, she ran after him but he disappeared into thin air. She felt heartbroken whenever she remembers him and ever since she met him he barely left her mind.

After having breakfast with her annoying family she went out and met both of her best friends Hannah and Stephanie, Katherine told them what Kiara did to her, she told them everything including her encounter with her mysterious first love but asked them to promise her they wouldn't tell anyone about it and they did.

"That bitch! I can't believe she would betray you like that, I would have beaten the hell out of her if I was there" Stephanie angrily said as she clenched her small fists.

Hannah looked at Katherine and said "Kath are you sure you are okay? You must have been traumatized, we could teach that backstabbing snake a lesson if you allow us"

"There's no need, we don't have any evidence against her, and her family is rich so we can't afford to offend them, leave her be for now. One day she will surely pay for it" Katherine calmly said to her two best friends who were fuming in anger.

A few weeks later when Katherine was going out of the gym she accidentally bumped into someone.

"Oh I'm so sorry sir are you okay?" She asked worriedly.

The man looked at her with his ocean blue eyes and said "Yes I'm fine don't worry about it. "

Katherine was relieved, she was about to walk away when she heard the man say

"Hey you are Miss Katherine Kenneth, right? The model? I saw you on tv three weeks ago, I'm a huge fan. "

Katherine blushed and said "Yeah that's me, nice to meet you" she extended her hand and the man shook it while introducing himself "I'm Tom Thomas but you can call me Tom. "

Katherine and Tom then went on their separate ways and a few days later Katherine was surprised to bump into tom again at the grocery store, after exchanging a few words the man politely asked for her phone number saying that he wanted to be friends with her and since the man was kind and polite and on top of that he was her first fan, the first person to recognize her as her model Katherine agreed to be his friend and gave him her phone number. Unbeknownst to Katherine that would be the biggest mistake of her life.

One year later Katherine has become a very famous and beloved International supermodel, she was able to move out of her parents house and now has her own apartment, even with her busy schedule she always found time to hang out with her three best friends who are none other than Hannah, Stephanie, and Tom.

Katherine and Tom met a year ago and they have quickly become best of friends. Tom was a kind and handsome man, he was caring towards Katherine and sometimes she suspected that he might have romantic feelings for her by the way he treats her but since he didn't say anything she also decided to shut her mouth.

In all honesty, Katherine didn't want tom to confess his feelings for her because she would instantly reject him, and then their friendship would become strained and they would feel awkward around each other.

Katherine was still not able to forget her mysterious first love, it has been a full year and some weeks since she last saw him but his image is still vividly engraved in her heart and soul, she remembered everything about him including his deep sexy voice and his beautiful chocolate brown eyes, the way he talked and the way he walked, Katherine couldn't forget his Majestic aura and how he saved her from those goons.

She dreams about him almost every night, sometimes she couldn't wait to go to sleep so that she could dream about him, yes she was that crazy in love with him.

"Do you think she would like the vanilla cake more or the strawberry one?" Asked Tom

Three days later would be Katherine's birthday so Tom, Hannah, and Stephanie had been busy preparing a surprise birthday party for her.

"I think she would prefer the strawberry cake more" Hannah answered him. Even though Katherine had been taking care of her body Hannah noticed that sometimes Katherine would eat a lot of strawberries as they were her favorite fruits.

"Yeah, she definitely loves strawberries but then she also loves vanilla so why don't we have her favorite baker make strawberry and vanilla cake for her instead of choosing one or the other" suggested Stephanie because she has been Katherine's dietician since from the very beginning and she was fully aware of what her likes and dislikes are when it comes to food.

Tom agreed with the suggestion so he immediately called the baker and placed the order. Before they left Tom took out a box and opened it for a beautiful shiny ring to come into view, he looked at them and said "girls I plan on proposing to Katherine on her birthday, what do you think. "

Stephanie almost chocked on her own spit while Hannah on the other hand froze for a few minutes, they looked at each other and awkwardly smiled at Tom before saying

"Uhm, that's great. We already know that you love Katherine from the very beginning, but Tom aren't you moving a bit too fast? I mean shouldn't you court her first?" Asked Hannah with a gentle smile on her face.

Hannah knew that Katherine was still in love with the mysterious guy that saved her life a year ago so she was trying to buy her some time to get over that guy, she planned to talk some sense into later and convince her to let him go.

"I have been by her side for a year and I showed her my sincere intentions towards her. I'm sure she already knows that I love her but she decided to not say anything since I didn't confess to her, you know how considerate she is" said Tom with a worried expression on his face.

Stephanie who was quiet this whole time suddenly said "Actually you should propose to her, she has been single all her life, I believe it's about time that she also finds love"

Both Hannah and Stephanie agreed on this and Tom was beyond happy to get their support, he knows how important they are to Katherine.
