Chapter 216: Escape Under the Rain of Bullets

Other than Cedrick, there were four soldiers escorting the president and his assistant. They surrounded the two as they moved down the building using the stairs.

"Commander Cedrick, are you sure that this path is safe?" Manuel Chavez nervously asked. He was worried that the enemies were waiting for them downstairs.

Cedrick remained calm as he replied. "There is no need to be worried, Mr. President. My subordinates have already secured our route. As long as we can leave this building, you guys will be safe."

Manuel Chavez was still anxious even after hearing his words. He had gotten some death threats before, but it was the first time he had experienced this kind of situation. It was like a plot of an action movie.

Cedrick led the group down the stairs. He was holding a rifle in his hands, looking incredibly focused.

Cedrick pressed his communicator and uttered. "We are going down with the VIPs. Is the route clear?"
