"The former emperor is dead?"

I asked, baffled. Roxy just stared at him with her mouth open in shock.

Grey nodded bitterly as he asked the agent standing outside to bring another chair.

"And they are blaming dad for it?"

I asked, narrowing my eyes. For some reason, my body started feeling heavy, but it was a minor issue so I ignored it.

Grey shook his head in reply before sighing.

"No, there's no doubt that your dad was the culprit."

"E-eh?"

I was surprised for a moment... But then remembered how dad had acted when he was rescuing me.

That strong, determined personality... I could definitely see dad doing it now that I thought about it.

"Ugh... This makes things harder, doesn't it?"

I mumbled as I rubbed my temples. Sure, if dad hadn't killed that guy, I would have done it sooner or later.

But this made things tough... I still didn't have the foundation to attack them efficiently.
