Chapter 89: Arena Fifteen: Motives And Beliefs III

"Fuck!"

The driver yelled as he desperately turned the steering wheel, trying to avoid the debris on the road. The car before us did the same as we rode through the destroyed cityscape.

We didn't know how, but we had ended up around the middle point of the city, with destroyed skyscrapers looming all around us.

"They are everywhere dammit!"

I hissed as I summoned metal walls left and right to prevent the creatures from ambushing us from the alleyways and side roads.

However, it wasn't doing much. The mob behind us was slowly becoming larger and larger.

"How's our engine?"

Grey asked the driver as he leaned out of the window and shot a nearby monster. It didn't kill it, but the projectile's stopping power threw it backwards. It stood up just after a moment though and gave chase once again.
