Chapter 6: Protests Prelude

Durga was, obviously very frustrated. Despite all the efforts, she still lost to Nehru. And she knew how his naiveness costed India so much.
Well, he might have become the Congress President, but no matter what happens, she must become the First PM.
"Good morning everyone... Four days later, the parliament will start for the formulation of Constitution, and we will get Independence in two years at most."
The crowd of thousands cheered, but Durga's face was very grim.
"But. There is a huge problem, that will cost us more deaths than the Bangal Famine.
Even if the British are leaving, they haven't stopped scheming to get a piece of India!
I have gained definitive proof that Muslim League is a puppet of the British! And is planning to start a genocide worse than the British!"
Thousands of copies of some photos were thrown into the crowd.
It was Jinnah meeting Churchill during WW2, in secret.
"And that's not all! They will do anything to remain in power, even carve out a country for themselves! And don't think it will be for Muslims. It will be for only Sunni upper caste Muslims. And of only Punjab! They will make Urdu the only language, genociding Bangali, Punjabi, and all other languages!
And, they will genocide every Hindu, Sikh, Christian, Jain, anyone who isn't their caste and religion!"
Then, a recording was played on the mic.
It basically revealed the plans of Direct Action Day.
People started shouting in rage, angered by the audacity of the traitors.
"Every damn single time, there is always a traitor amongst us!
And don't misunderstand. It's not the Muslims who want Pakistan. It's the elitists who don't have to care about food on their table! They snatch the food of poor, and will continue to do so, in a much greater authority if what they want! They will obediently serve their masters!
Don't you know whose ideology they follow!? Syed Ahmed, the greatest bootlicker in the history of the world, who helped the British in suppressing the First War of Independence! These bootlickers opposed the Quit India Movement, and helped the British in their war in Europe!
If they come to power, not even Muslims will be safe! They will not be able to get independence from the British!
And I will never allow Mother India to be cut in pieces by these traitors!
Starting today, we are protesting by fasting until we get second elections where everyone is given the right to vote, and we are the overseers of the elections so that British won't rig the elections like they always do!
Until our demands are met, we will not move from here!"
