Chapter 98: Haruko Vs Hiro Part 1
"HARUKO!" Hiro shouted angrily. "How dare you!"
"What? Are you questioning me?" Haruko mocked.
"Why are you standing around? Attack her now!" Hiro ordered his bodyguards.
But to his shock, they didn't move. They simply stood there, staring at the group of Hyuga members who had been freed from the birdcage seal.
Noticing this, Hiro's anger intensified. He formed a tiger seal and activated the birdcage seal, intending to punish his guards.
"Arghhh..." About 20 bodyguards collapsed, writhing in pain from the intense torture.
Seeing them suffer, Haruko's rage boiled over. She had enough.
"Hey, COWARD!" Haruko shouted. Hiro stopped his torture session, and the guards gasped for air, relieved.
"You only have the guts to torture those who can't fight back. If you're really a man, fight me!" Haruko challenged.
Before Hiro could respond, another Hyuga shouted from the crowd.
"Haruko-sama, Hiro is a coward! When he attacked my son, he didn't even have the guts to face me in a sparring match!" Hyuga Kitai taunted. He had despised the hypocritical young leader for a long time.
"You..." Hiro pointed at Kitai, his eyes burning with rage. "I will accept your duel!"
He was eager to prove himself are not coward and also refusing to believe that a woman could defeat him.
"Setsuna, don't interfere in this fight. This is my revenge," Haruko said firmly.
"Okay, darling, don't worry," Setsuna reassured her. "Just make sure you beat him hard."
--- The Fight---
Since this was a real fight, they skipped the seal of confrontation typically used in the academy.
"Byakugan," both Haruko and Hiro activated their Byakugan simultaneously.
"You'll regret betraying the Hyuga Clan," Hiro warned before launching himself forward. With a sudden burst of speed, Hiro initiated the attack.
He dashed toward Haruko, his hands poised to strike her chakra points. Haruko reacted swiftly, dodging his attack with fluid movements as she deflected his initial strikes using the Gentle Fist technique.
Their palms collided with strong impacts, each trying to disrupt the other's chakra flow. Hiro's attacks were relentless—he had used them many times against other Hyuga. Although Hiro was fast, Haruko was even faster. She dodged and countered his strikes with precision, landing a devastating Jūken blow.
"Bwarghh!" Hiro coughed, feeling the effects of Haruko's attack.
Looking at the disheveled Hiro, Haruko's thoughts drifted back to her first training session with Setsuna in Uzushiogakure.
"Haruko, your clan's Jūken (Gentle Fist) is strong, but there is a way to counter it," Setsuna had said. "Now, try to attack me with your Jūken."
"Okay, I'll use my full power," Haruko replied, dashing forward. Setsuna anticipated her attack, deflecting it by channeling chakra through his hands.
The technique Setsuna used was Silat, a martial art originating from Southeast Asia. When Haruko tried to strike, he coated his hands with chakra to deflect her attack and sometimes lock her movements.
There are many forms of Silat, including Silat Cekak Hanafi, Silat Harimau, and Silat Sukmo Rogo. Each form has different techniques for various purposes—some are for fighting beneath houses, others for locking the enemy, and the one Setsuna used was designed to deflect attacks.
Growing bored, Setsuna decided to end the sparring session by grabbing Haruko's hand and locking her in place.
"It's over," he said, releasing her.
"How did you beat me in Taijutsu?" Haruko had asked. "The Hyuga are known as the strongest Taijutsu users."
"It's simple. Your Taijutsu allows you to see tenketsu points, but if I focus chakra in my hands the same way you do, your strikes won't affect me," Setsuna explained.
Now, reflecting on that day, Haruko realized her training hadn't been in vain. She had finally defeated the perverted, psychotic Hiro Hyuga.
"You're weak. As a parting gift, I'll give you something special," Haruko said, forming several seals. "Katon: Gokakyū no Jutsu!"
A large fireball surged toward Hiro. Startled, Hiro quickly activated his ultimate defense—one only known to the main family—spinning 360 degrees to create a barrier against the flames.
"Oh, so you survived? Bravo," Haruko smiled.
--Rasen Shuriken---
"What is that?" asked Hashirama.
The ongoing fight had lasted for 15 minutes, and several ninja had finally taken notice. Upon realizing it was two Hyuga members fighting, they immediately reported the situation to the Hokage.
At this point in time, the Anbu technically didn't exist, but due to Setsuna's earlier suggestion to create ranks for Jonin and Anbu, Konoha had established an Anbu unit to assist the Hokage.
"Hokage-sama, Setsuna has returned with his wife, but his wife is currently fighting the young heir of the Hyuga Clan," reported the Anbu.
"This is bad," said Hashirama. He was aware of the tension between the Hyuga Clan and Setsuna since the latter had taken Haruko and escaped from Konoha.
Although Hashirama had given the Hyuga Clan's patriarch an ultimatum, he knew deep down that they were not willing to let the situation go. What Hashirama didn't know was that the Hyuga had been using the birdcage seal to torment their branch members—a practice he could never condone.
"The fight might seem normal, but almost all the Hyuga members appear to be siding against their young leader, Hiro Hyuga," continued the Anbu.
"What?" Hashirama was shocked. "Is it really that bad?"
"If looks could kill, Haruko might already have slain the young heir. They are fighting, but it feels like it could turn worst at any moment," replied the Anbu.
"And what about Setsuna? Did he just let his wife fight that Hiro boy?" asked Hashirama.
"Yes, he's letting her handle the fight. We overheard something about the birdcage seal, but we couldn't confirm the details," answered the Anbu.
Hashirama began to suspect that something significant was happening. If all Setsuna wanted was to marry, did he really need to flee from Konoha and live in Uzushiogakure? Setsuna wasn't weak and he could easily overpowered the Hyuga Clan.
Suddenly, a loud crashing noise echoed from the direction of the fight.
"BOOM!" Hashirama sweat began to form, the situation had become from bad to worst, startled as he saw what appeared to be a massive sphere causing widespread destruction.
