spirit king
A man with black hair and brown eyes was standing on a roof overlooking a a square filled with people. The man was wearing a suit and said, "Seems my last Konso will be an important one."
He looked at the man and the glanced at a screen that only he could see, *Perform 999 konso: 998/999. Reward: Soul society.
Purify 999 hollows: 996/999. Reward: Hueco Mundo. Perform Konso for Gold Roger: 0/1. Reward: 1 summoning and 1 reconstruction tickets.*
He exhaled, "At least, two of my three missions will be done. I can at least, get a little rest instead of looking around every square mile for lost souls and hollows in the ocean."
After awhile, a black cat appeared by his feet, "You act like you didn't like traveling, my king." The cat had a male voice and moved to sit down to watch the show.
He said, "Traveling in a mortal body is different than in a spirit body. I can't exactly enjoy eating actual food without scaring any human passing by. I keep telling you to call me Jack or Cole, Yoruichi. I am just his heir, not the spirit king yet. I am sure that he wants me to learn from scratch and earn that title. Isn't that the reason he sent you? to protect me if things go sideways?"
Yoruichi moved to look at him, "To assist you my king, you have been training diligently and it would be rude for me to call you by name."
Jack said, "I don't even understand why he chose me in the first place, last I recall, he has a son."
He was about to say something else but, he heard a laugh, "You want my treasures? You can have them, they're all in one place." Jack then shunpoed down to Roger and decided to wait near-by until, he saw that everyone left. Roger said, "Why are you just standing there kid?"
Jack said, "I figured the person who created an era would like to hear the excitement he caused before he has to leave with us."
He observed him a bit before he looked over at a certain black cat who spoke, "This is the guy you claimed was important in this world? He doesn't look that special."
Jack said, "I once heard an analogy from a comrades daughter that was quite apt, 'even the tiniest pebble can cause ripples in the water, gather enough and you may create a wave'. This guy's one of the 'pebbles' of this world. Now, are you ready to come with us, Roger?"
Roger said, "Where will you take me? Better yet, why is a person with the neko neko no mi and someone, I don't know telling me to go with them? or, are you that voice?" He looked cautious but, curious at the same time...which was quite a contrast to how he usually was.
Yoruichi said, "I am no devil fruit user boy, we are Shinigami. You are even in the presence of the next spirit king."
Jack moved and picked her up by the scruff, "Calm down, we're here to perform a Konso, not fight a plus. If you want to fight, go fight one of the hollows that are coming here." He then moved her to show a creature that looked like a starfish with blue tentacles.
Yoruichi said, "Weren't you asked to kill these weaklings? They should be your practice dummies..."
He said, "Just go play with them until, I am done here. Unless, the Washi is to old to distract a couple of small fries. Then that would be a shame to the former 2nd captain." He gave a bit of a teasing smile before he whispered into her ear, "Especially, one as cute as you."
Yoruichi mreowed, "cute? Put me down and I will show you this Washi's skills." He let her go then she flash stepped to keep the hollows busy.
Roger asked, "Uh, did you just call that cat as your elder? and what are hollows and pluses?"
He said, "She is older than both of us and she usually calls her self an elder. For humans, she's old...like of a grandma. Us Shinigami, she's considered young...like a teenager or someone in their twenties." As he finished, he felt something like a shoe hit him at the back of his head.
He said, "I deserved that...I will give you your favorite milk as compensation Yoruichi. Anyway, you are considered a plus or a normal spirit. See that starfish monster that's a hollow and it will eat souls like you. We Shinigami are supposed to kill them and send you to Soul Society or what you humans call heaven. So, you just need to stay still and I'll perform the ceremony."
He then moved and took his katana out and touched the hilt onto his forehead. Roger's body relaxed as he seemed to turn into a light blue light. He then looked up at the hollows and jumped up muttering, "Time to get to work..."
