Chapter 47: Chapter 47: Relying Poorly On…

The Super Soldier skill was a must. No matter how long he'd have to wait, Kyle will wait. Besides, this limit placed on him was only available with Rare Blue Cards. Extracting such a card no matter the wait was worth his time. And at this current timeline in the Marvel World, there weren't so many figures who had abilities like Steve.

And thus Kyle spent half an hour of continuous card extraction while grinding his mouth to describe the last counterattack campaign to Steve and Peggy. As for the harvest he gained, he never spoke of it.

"...In this way, I was able to infiltrate the arsenal area of that large base. In there, I happened to meet the enemy commander in the basement of the warehouse, and after killing him, I quickly planted a ticking time bomb. It was quite easy actually escaping the German base and the warehouse. Once I was at a far distance, the bomb detonated. With the fall of the internal defense mechanism of the base, it'd be difficult to stop the following subsequent raid by our 100-strong troops."

In order to delay the time, Kyle recounted the story detail by detail. Feeling his throat parched, he drank a bottle of water and saw Steve and Peggy wholly immersed in the story.

"Wow… to be able to sneak in alone and destroy the enemy base's defense system is wonderful all on its own…" Steve said with lingering praise as envy glimmered in his eyes. This was his dream. He wanted to be able to experience such feat firsthand in battle.

"Only you would dare to sneak into an enemy base alone. Do you not fear of dying?" Peggy said coldly.

"I don't know if you've heard this saying, but if you don't have passion, life will forever remain dark." Kyle smiled confidently, and looked at his two companions, Steve and Peggy. "Even if I had to do it again, I'd still bet on a life full of gains and risks. Instead of being the star against the moon, won't it be better to travel the universe with spontaneous combustion and challenge the sun with your light?"

No matter who they were, whether they be the protagonist, or if the invincible villain, he'd not allow anyone to stand in his way. For as long as he's here, Marvel has no protagonist! This was Kyle's creed in this world, and no one could change his mind.

Looking at the man with strong faith and belief, Peggy's beautiful eyes could not help but show the same emotions as him.

"Kyle, you're right. One should live a life full of passion." Steve quietly clenched his fists. He'd been stimulated, now ready to venture the world.

"Don't worry. You'll always glow, Steve. Your heart is your strength and I think that you're absolutely qualified to fight with me. I'm sure of that." Kyle smiled.

After all, he was one of Marvel's leading heroes. And Steve, he was the people's shield.

"By the way, Peggy, how's it like being stuck with Steve? I'm sure you haven't…" Kyle coughed, eyes hinting a touch of mischievousness.

Peggy looked at him coldly. "I'm just doing my job. Just collecting information on this Super Soldier."

"That's right. Kyle, don't speak so much nonsense." Steve hurriedly waved his hands to interject.

"You two are pretty good together. Are you sure the thought hasn't crossed your mind?" Kyle smiled sheepishly.

Clank!

The spoon was thrown on the iron plate. Peggy stood up from her seat and gave a look that said, "I finished eating" before walking away.

"Kyle, you're too straightforward." Steve sighed and complained.

"Me? I'm creating opportunities for you." Kyle patted Steve on the shoulder and motioned his hands towards the door. "Are you sure you don't want to chase after her?"

"Well, I'll see you this afternoon." Steve, who'd been revamped by the serum, was enlightened. He quickly nodded and chased Peggy towards the direction she left.

After the two had left, Kyle gasped for breath. He pressed his hands tightly to his chest as cold sweat covered his forehead.

[Super Soldier] extraction complete!

Soon as the rare blue card was stored in the card space, it automatically dominated the other cards and stood at the top of the hierarchy. He knew that once the card was used, it'd begin to reform his genes and physique.

"I should find a place to begin my genetic transformation," Kyle said softly as he thought of a safe and reliable place he could do so.

Training Base, Public Shower Room.

As the performance from the square-centre was not over yet, the cool shower room was empty at this time.

Entering a separate room, Kyle removed his clothing and equipment. Then, he turned on the shower and let the water run, showering his body marked with various scarrings. In spite of this, his body was dry. It had a tingling sensation too. And soon, he found his bones squeaking.

There was something in his body breaking apart, tearing it up, and reshaping it!

"Ugh!" Kyle grunted. He quickly materialized the Nepalese Army knife and placed it between his teeth to prevent himself from screaming in pain.

At this time, Kyle's naked appearance expanded slightly. There was a slight pullback on his muscles, as if adjusting to a more ideal appearance. His muscles grew more refined, strong, and lean after slight expansions and adjustments.

The process lasted three minutes long

"Hahhhh…" Kyle opened his mouth, allowing the knife to fall to the ground. It was covered with rows of clear tooth marks.

The muscles on his chest was still beating, but it had slowly calmed down. The scars on his skin had been washed off, leaving no signs of any previous scarring.

The transformation was successful!

And Kyle knew it too. His body was filled with power ready to unleash.

"Although the Super Soldier serum results into achieving the perfect physique, it should be safe to say that I'm no longer human."

Regardless of his age, vitality, the natural aging of cells, his physical strength, and his enhanced memory and learning speed, they were things that would never be available even to a human at its peak condition. It'd be more believable to call him a humanoid monster.

"At last, I have a card that can stand on the cusp of the world." Kyle breathed a sigh of relief. It was as if a huge burden had been lifted.

Despite the skill cards he had in the past, he was still a human being. He'd die even when shot with a bullet. But it was not so now. If he was shot with a bullet, it'd only constitute as a minor injury. It'd not be counted as a life-threatening injury. This Super Soldier ability was the first step to his growth.

After bathing, Kyle put on his uniform. He noticed he was a little taller too––close to 185 CM tall. His abdominal muscles also stood out, making him look more intimidating.

Looks like he'd need to order a new size.

Kyle sighed and left the room.
