Naturally he wasn't able to recover every one of those fighters that time so he told them to come back later because at the same time his clone focused on gathering gold coins. 

On the other hand inside the world tower or you can say the game world Alex naturally begins to take all the missions that the king and those other NPC gave to him at the time. You can say because of his game system he got more missions compared to any of those other fighters present in the world tower and naturally he will not reject any of them.
