All eyes darted panickly towards Sebastian and Jin-joo simultaneously.
Poking his arm, Nelly pleaded, "Sebastian please, let's forgive dad and call everything off in the past, Jin is about to lose her mind."
Gritting his teeth, without taking his eyes off his wife, Sebastian irritatedly remarked, "Then let her lose it. I want to see if truly she has guts and nerves to do it." To Sebastian, he thinks his wife is only good at threats than actions. Though he has never seen her making such silly threats but he believes in action and that is what he wants to see.
"Are you mad? Are you waiting for her to lose her mind before you'll stop her?" Petra cried.
Without wasting any more time, Jin-joo who was running out of patience, raised her hands which was wrapped around the knife's handle and slowly strikes it down towards her abdominal part.
"No!!!" Sebastian and the others rushed towards her to stop her before the knife pierces into her stomach.
.....
Sebastian and Jin-joo's place
Inside the room
"Nooooo!!!" Sebastian screamed out loud from the deep and yet hazardous dream he just had.
Sitting upright as he tried to catch his breath. Wait was that a dream? Holy cow, what type of dream was that? So weird.
His heart hitched as if it has stopped beating long ago.
Quickly, he turned towards his wife's side of the bed. It was empty. God, where the hell is she? He panicked and stroke off the bedsheet which was halfway covering his lower part of his body.
Holy lord, what happened? That dream looked so realistic. Sitting on the bedside, he placed his hands on his chest, yet he couldn't feel his heart beating in the normal rate, he feared. The room was dark.
Sebastian had had a little bit of phobia when he was four. He detest blackout and dark rooms. They never agreed. Majority of the times when he was still tender and little, he could barely sleep alone in one room.
Even if he had thousands of bulbs switched on, he still felt frightened but as times goes on when he began growing mature and bigger, he starts getting used to living alone in private areas.
But right now, something tells him that the phobia thing is occurring again. And he yelled; "Mom! Dad! Anybody home?"
Just then, three people broke into his bedroom and switched on the lights.
Seeing the fearful look on his face, Petra remembered her little Sebastian who used to cry out her name whenever there's a blackout in the vicinity.
Rushing towards the bed, Petra sat beside him worriedly. Meanwhile, Jin-joo and Grayson who had a confused expression on their faces, stood few miles away from them before walking towards the bed.
"My dear, what is it? Talk to me, son. Did it occur again? The phobia? Did you had a nightmare? Did-" Stopping midway when Sebastian nodded his head and cried like his tender self.
"Yes mom, it was so horrifying and--and it looked so real. It was horror. In that dream, I-" Grabbing his wife's wrist, he pulled her to sit on his laps. When she caressed his face, he buried his head on her chest. "You almost scared me to death, my love. Why did you threaten me with our babies and your life?"
Jin-joo scrunched her brows confusedly and asked, "Threat? Honey, where are you buying such words from?"
Keeping quiet for a very long time, Sebastian battled hard to explain himself but everytime he tries, the more the trauma keeps hitting on him and he'll end up snuggling not on his mother's but his wife's embrace like an homeless kid afraid of thunderstorms.
When he didn't say anything for long and there was silence in the atmosphere apart from the cricket making a weird sound, Grayson turned around to leave. His presence here might be killing his son's vibe.
Just as he held on the door's knob to twist it over and open the door, Sebastian called out, "Dad!"
Widening his eyes in shock, Grayson parted his lips. For a second or two his heart skipped a beat. Did he just called him dad for the first time in twenty-three years?
Petra and Jin-joo who heard him called out his father's name, also got stunned. They couldn't believe their ears. This wasn't the Sebastian they knew. The Sebastian they knew could harden his heart over a thing and so be it for eternity.
Well, he didn't seem so anymore as he carefully placed Jin on the bed and made his way towards Grayson.
Hugging him from behind, Sebastian wept, "Am sorry I didn't give you the chance to explain things to me. I took everything for granted because I wanted to cast out revenges on what you did to us in the past, dad."
Tears rolled down Grayson's cheek. Closing his eyes, he tried to resist the urge of tear up but it was too much. He couldn't and had to let it out.
"In that dream, so many mysterious things happened. Jin was right, we aren't perfect and are bound to make mistakes. I don't want to lose you or Jin, or mom, or Nelly, or anyone in this family and those dare to me."
When Grayson turned around to face him, he pulled himself into his tight hug. "Am sorry dad, I forgive you for everything. Please let's come back as one family and bury all the bad things in the past. I can't take it anymore."
Sebastian was feeling restless after that terrible nightmare. He doesn't want his grudges towards his father to keep on enlarging. Thank God it was just a dream, what would he have done with his life? Instead of happiness it was sorrow all through. And Sebastian felt at ease after realizing that it was just a dream.
Without having a second thought, he decided to give in and brush off every grudges he had against his father. What if he disobeys his guts for forgiveness and harden his heart the more? Won't that dream come to pass?
So many things popped in his head and he said to himself, 'To err is human but to forgive is divine.' No one is above mistakes because no one is perfect.
When Petra and Jin-joo saw the father and son hugging themselves tight while sobbing their souls out, they smiled at the same time shedding tears of joy.
Patting his back, Grayson took a deep breath, "Am deeply sorry for everything, my son. Please forgive me." He cried.
Pulling away, Sebastian nodded his head and smiled. The phobia suddenly disappeared and he was feeling lively again. "Yes, I forgive you for everything and I promise never to call you the piece of cabbage trash I used to."
For many odd yet good reasons, Sebastian is opening his heart to give his father another chance to play his fatherly role.
