"Yeah, like you ain't used to Kang-dae?" Letting out a mockery chuckle, she added, "He'll keep on insisting he goes with me."
"Well, in that case you'll have to take him along." Pausing for a while, he added, "Since you said you're fine, I don't have to be worried."
Scrunching her brows, "Wait a sec dad, don't tell me you've been worried the whole day just for my insecurity."
"Thank goodness you've realized." Breathing a sigh of relief, he smiled, "Its alright, you relax and take a chill pill."
"Yeah I need it after a long meeting."
"And your concert, please inform me when the tickets are out."
Nodding her head, "Yes I will,"
"Take care of yourself, and make sure you eat something, okay?"
"Yes dad, my regards to the others, we'll chat later."
"Alright." He remarked before hanging up.
Tossing the phone aside, she took a deep breath before sipping her juice.
Sensing the approaching footsteps, she turned around. Keeping her expression neutral when Sebastian stood at the entrance door.
Without saying anything, he made his way into the living room.
Trying to avoid his gaze, Jin-joo didn't want to be the first to start the conversation. Instead, she placed the glass of juice on the table and crossed her arms with her face turned aside.
Understanding her current mood swing, Sebastian recalled Ryan's words and followed respectively.
Leaning closer, he focused his eyes on her but she wasn't sparing a glance at him.
When she realized how close he was getting, she got anxious and slowly dropped her hands on her both sides. Scrunching her brows, she battled with the urge of pushing him away or taking a step backward.
But before she could do anything, he started going down on his knees. Causing her to awkwardly scrunch her brows and feel even nervous.
"I'm sorry for what happened at the hospital a month ago. I shouldn't have spoken to you the way I did. I'm just a dumbass and a good for nothing idiot. I never knew I was scolding a lifesaver. I do appreciate if you take your revenge on me in anyway you chose to but first of all forgive me. I'm deeply sorry, I–"
Cutting him off, she quickly smiled, "Its alright please stop kneeling for me. Stand up, I'm not upset with you."
"Y-You forgive me?"
"Yes I've forgiven you from the very moment you lashed out on me. I don't keep grudges because my heart is not met for such things." Taking the gifts from him, she placed them on the couch and tried to help him up. "Please stop kneeling for a little woman like me. Its embarrassing."
Standing up, he straightened his shoulders, "I'm still sorry."
"Its okay, stop saying that." Grabbing the gifts from the couch, she gasped, "Oh my goodness, look how lovely they are."
Narrowing her eyes at the boldly written articles on the teddy's t-shirt, she chuckled, "Of course I forgave you Mr dumbass."
Breathing a sigh of relief, Sebastian was feeling better after seeing how happy she was. He was expecting her to kick her out or break his head or maybe call the bouncers on her.
Tuckling his hands into his pockets, he stood quietly with a smiling face while staring at her from time to time.
Placing the teddy on her chest, Jin-joo closed her eyes and sighed. The thought of playing with the teddy after work revolved in her head. She wasn't concerned about the bouquet of roses, he main attention was only on the teddy.
"Its so cute." Pulling away, she smiled at the teddy, "So fluffy." Placing the teddy on the couch, she tuckled a strand of hair behind her ear, "I'm so sorry my bad, please sit. Make yourself comfortable."
He nodded and sat quietly before staring at the whole place. It was luxurious just like his. Exactly an exclusive mansion.
Sitting beside him, she inquired, "How is your health?"
"Better."
"Are you still on drugs?" When he nodded, she added, "Well, I'm so sorry about that. You shouldn't have disobeyed aunt when she insisted you stay."
"It wasn't something much. I went out to grab an important business file and unfortunately I bumped into some thugs or should I say assassins." He scoffed.
Helplessly shaking her head, she sighed, "That's bad. Thank goodness you're feeling better."
"And if it wasn't for your kindness, I don't think I would have been alive today."
Giving him a weak smile, she chuckled, "Why wouldn't you have been alive? Your mom, sister and friends where there. Probably they would have done something for your rescue."
"So mom invited you over?"
