2.43% I Am A Notorious Hidden Boss In The Alternate World / Chapter 8: Where is my Golden Finger?

Chapter 8: Where is my Golden Finger?

Four hours earlier.

Albion laid back comfortably in the First-Class suite.

In his past life, forget about entering First Class; he had not even entered the Business Class before. It had always been Economy Class, tight and uncomfortable.

Having experienced the heavenly comfort of the First-Class suite, which was First Class among First Class, he does not know if he can handle flying in Economy Class again.

As the saying goes; Once you upgrade to Business Class, you never go back.

Just like when they first introduced recliners in cinemas. He could never go back to standard seats after getting used to recliner seating. It was just not the same anymore.

Beep!

[Hello, this is your captain speaking. Welcome aboard flight EU107—What? This isn't flight EU107?]

The announcement abruptly ended.

After some time, the captain resumed his announcement.

[Ahem—apologies for the delay. There had been some misunderstandings. Welcome aboard, private flight AG007. We will be taking off in about five minutes. The flight is expected to take 19 hours and reach Sunstone City, Atrana, at 20:15 GMT. We hope you enjoy your flight.]

The captain's voice sounded forced, and a little shaking like he was being pressured with fear.

Albion was filled with doubts.

Did Kasin kidnap some pilots from the airport to fly their plane? The Ashura Group was wealthy enough to own dozens of private aircraft, but they cannot afford a few pilots? What kind of joke was that?

Albion did not think too deeply.

A problem that can be resolved with money is not a problem at all. Perhaps, the pilots will beg to be kidnapped a few more times once they see the big cash.

The turbines rotated before the aircraft moved on the runway.

'Hmm, something is off.'

Albion frowned slightly.

"Kasin."

"You called, Boss?" Kasin asked after popping his head into the suite.

"Where is Polemos?"

Kasin was taken aback, but he quickly recovered and said, "Polemos was delayed and cannot make it. He called me on the phone earlier and said to head off first. He will meet us later in Atrana."

"I see."

"If there's nothing else, I will be returning to my seat, Boss."

"En, go on."

Shortly after, the turbines rumbled with power, and the aircraft sprinted down the long runway before finally taking off into the skies.

Albion could barely move, but he could still see outside the windows from the corner of his eyes. The familiar view of River City looked similar, but there were still some minor differences.

'Hmm, it seems I really have transmigrated to an alternate world that greatly resembles Earth. Chances are, I will never be seeing my parents, family, and friends again.'

When Albion at this thought, he felt incredibly sad and depressed.

'When you die, you leave everything behind. I was given a second chance, but everything is still left behind. I will never see them again.'

Albion had disappeared from that world for good. He hoped his family and friends will not be too sad that his gone.

Since his body was vaporized by the tribulation lightning, he would only be recorded as missing and never dead. He was not sure if this was cruel as his parents will still hold onto that hope that he is alive and well out there somewhere.

'Mom. Dad. Forgive me. I have been an unfilial son.'

Albion was a middle child, but he was also the eldest son. He had once promised to take care of his parents when they grow old, but now, it does not seem like he will be unable to make good on that promise.

'If only cancer didn't exist.'

He blamed cancer, but deep down, he knew it was because he did not listen to his parents. If he had taken his health seriously, he would not have contracted cancer.

He was like a blade of grass that sway wherever the wind blows. He was easily influenced by his surroundings.

'I should have been more driven and ambitious.'

As Albion laid there, he silently reflected on his previous life. Just like that, four hours quietly passed since the aircraft took off.

'Hm?'

Albion glanced at the entrance of his suite.

"I did not call for you. What do you need?"

"Sorry, Boss. Why don't you just hand over your Ashura Ring to me?" Kasin revealed his intention. He was not as loyal as he had appeared.

Albion narrowed his eyes.

"The Ashura Ring has been specially refined and life-bound to me. You will not be able to use it even if I give it to you. Despite knowing this, why do you still want it?"

"Hehe, true. But it will be a different story once Boss is dead, right?"

"Do you think you can kill me by throwing me off the plane?"

Albion smirked.

He appeared calm, but in truth, he was in full panic mode. He was afraid of heights.

Although the Dark Emperor had great confidence in the True Immortal Body, Albion was unsure if he will remain unscathed after a 30-thousand-feet plunge from the sky.

He never skydived before. Will his first experience going to be one without a parachute? Can he not sign up?

"True."

Kasin nodded.

"Right? You should give up on that thought." Albion persuaded.

Kasin was about to nod again, but then he shook his head.

"I might not be confident if you took a direct drop to the ground, but right now, we are halfway across the Ganymede Ocean. If you sank to the depths of the Ganymede Ocean, can your True Immortal Body still withstand the water pressure? Can you breathe without oxygen? I do not think so. What do you think, Boss?"

"Haiz. Now that I think about it, I find Thanatos was more likable than you. At least, he was more honest." Albion sighed.

Kasin grinned.

"Goodbye, Boss. Have a pleasant trip on your way down."

"You're going to regret this."

"Hm, I don't think I will."

After removing the Ashura Ring from Albion's finger, he was tossed out of the flying aircraft. His body spun so fast in the air that he could not tell left from right.

"Ahhhhhh!"

"Damn it all!"

"I hate heights!"

Albion screamed nonstop on his way down. After nearly 160 seconds of free falling, he slapped the water surface with the biggest belly flop in the history of all belly flops.

Endless waves rippled outwards as a large column of water rose from the epicenter.

With an anchor tied to his leg, Albion could not keep afloat and continued to sink to the bottom of the ocean.

'Goddammit!'

Did he mention he was also afraid of deep water and darkness?!

If he sank to the bottom of the Ganymede Ocean, even if he survived, he would be trapped in perpetual darkness on the ocean floor!

Weren't people who transmigrated supposed to be the MC? What kind of lousy MC gets trapped on the ocean floor for eternity?

What's the point of endless wealth, power, and lifespan if he cannot enjoy any of it?

'Where is my golden finger?'
