Chapter 33: Unfathomable As The Sea

"What all do you have on you right now, anyway?" Sierra asked curiously. 

Nathan shrugged, unbothered by the question even though it was somewhat personal. "The same stuff as usual. I always have it on me when I go out because you never know when something might happen." 

She tried remembering what 'the same stuff as usual' entailed. She was pretty sure they had talked about it before…

"Remind me what that entails."

"A thirty-three-piece survival kit in a can, a rain poncho, a first aid kit, an emergency blanket, some rope, a swiss army knife, a flashlight, and my wallet. Though I also have a granola bar and an orange on me because I'm hungry and I know I'll be here a while," Nathan admitted. 

That was simultaneously nuts and exactly what Sierra expected from him. She couldn't help but laugh. "You're one of a kind, you know that? Remind me to come find you if the zombie apocalypse ever happens."
