Chapter 64: One Troubled Guy

Geez. These people were incredibly thorough. Nathan had a hard time comprehending all the effort they had put into tracking him down. He wasn't worth that. 

Well, he supposed they were interested in his power rather than him. These people didn't know him at all even though he blurted his tragic past to them. 

"So now what?" he asked. "Have you gotten enough data from me? What about my friend?" 

May finally collected herself after feeling sorry for him. That sort of reaction was precisely why he didn't talk about this. Were they sure Adrian's power wasn't making people talk when they didn't want to? Was that even a type of power? Nothing would surprise him at this point. 

"Why don't we exchange numbers? I'm sure Matthew will want to talk to you personally. You can get back to us after talking to your friend." 

Nathan didn't mind that. He put both of their numbers into his phone and sent them a test text to be sure they had his.
