Alina's heart sank as she watched Marcus's interaction with Sasha unfold, her emotions a mix of uncertainty and fear.
After parting with Marcus, when Alina reached home, it was already 8:02 at night. She opened the door to the sound of voices coming from the living room. Her father was back, and he wasn't alone. Curiosly, she walked towards the living room and saw her dad sitting on the sofa beside Dana.
Dana said calmly, "Hello, Alina. We've been waiting for you."
"Hello, Mrs. West," She greeted.
"I need to talk to you. Would that be okay?" Dana said calmly.
Alina hesitated, "I guess it's okay."
Dana smiled, "Thank you. Can you come sit beside me?" She tapped the sofa invitingly.
Alina nodded reluctantly and sat beside Dana.
"Okay, I guess I'll leave the both of you to talk. I'll be in my room if you need me," Paul said, rising from his seat.
"Thank you, Paul," Dana said, smiling at him.
