Chapter 45: Influence of Minds

Anatalia paid no attention to anything, but Finn. 

The sound of the surrounding numb, and the world in her eyes dimm, only Finn's incapacitated body was what she could see.

As the owl retracted its hand causing, then stabbed Finn again, the world slowed down as Anatalia's eyes dripped with tears.

At that moment, she recalled her past.

When she got picked up by strangers; her hellish training; the heartwarming conversations with her siblings; the death of her siblings in her presence; multiple hopes of escaping dying; a mana beast saving her life; the moment she attained freedom; her journey to the western regions; eating with the beast.

These were the highlights of her life. She could help but wonder if she was a source of bad luck for the people around her. 

She had an ability essence within her yet she barely understood how it worked.

If she hadn't decided to follow Finn, he would have had no reason to risk his life protecting her.
