“You look beautiful, princess,” Mikhail whispers in my ears as we sway to the music. I hold tightly to his shoulders and close my eyes as he places kisses across my neck and shoulder. I can’t believe it’s prom night, and that I’m in my boyfriend’s arms.

So many things have changed for me over the past year. Nine months ago, I was just a lonely girl, with a messed up family, who dreamt of a beautiful angel loving me.

Who knew that my boyfriend would turn out to be that angel? Or that I’d find my soulmate? Definitely, not me.

“I love you,” I pull my head back and mutter against Mikhail’s chin as he rains kisses across my face.

His lip quirks. “I love you too,”

Our lips meet at that moment. His intoxicating taste is so heady that I can’t help but cling tightly to his shoulders.

“Alright, love birds, break it up.” Rowan pushes Mikhail’s shoulder with a snicker.
