Chapter 50: Wrong Message

"Excuse me, sirs," Cassandra said as she took advantage of the silence to rush out, leaving me alone with my bestfriend as I glared at him from my throne like seat.

There was a reason why I had this chair custom made to look like a throne.

It was meant to intimidate and to show how much power I had.

There were times I didn't like it, like when I was normally meeting with Lex or Riley, but today it served it's purpose.

"How dare you put her in danger like that?!" I questioned my friend, shouting at him.

"She was never in any danger," he shrugged. "The bodyguards are always there."

"And you know that she wouldn't call for help unless the situation was hopeless!" I glared at him.

He had no right to put Lilith in that situation, to risk her safety, to risk her getting hurt when she could easily run into her ex.

"Are you worried about her seeing her ex?" Lex teased.
