We got to the settlement, and I had the omega's carry our bags to my apartment in the packhouse. Karen was hugging herself, so I knew she felt out of place. I hugged her and kissed her, then ushered her into the packhouse. We were getting a lot of confused stares from the members around. I intended to introduce my mate to the pack once we settled in.

"Oscar I do not think coming her with me was a good idea. Do you see the looks they were giving me?" Karen asked. She had noticed the stares too.

"Don't bother your pretty head about them. They would have to deal." I replied, and she looked at me a bit worried.

"What if they don't?" She asked, and I didn't know how to honestly reply to that question because the last thing I wanted was to leave my mate in a town like my uncle Joseph did, simply because they couldn't have her around.
