Chapter 174: Chapter 174 : Potion Class 2

"You read that pointless Paper..." Orion rather than answering directly, questions the source of this contempt.

Hearing this there was a visible twitch on Snape's face.

"That 10 points from Gryffindor, Ambrosius," Snape said with a little grunting sound.

Blink blink...

"Ah points of course almost forgot those are a thing here,"

[Idiot why are you saying this aloud, learn how to keep your thoughts inside you]

"Ah, did I say that aloud," Orion asked with a small smile.

"Yes, yes you did," Snape too was a little confused at what the boy was playing at right now.

"Well, whatever, it's just 10 points. Not like the government increase 10% tax country-wide or anything." Orion didn't even care about hiding his thoughts anymore. He just said whatever came to his mind.

Snape after hearing this only thought that the boy was mocking him, like not afraid of him.

"That will be another 10 points from Gryffindor, for your disrespect," Snape said with a little louder voice making sure that the other students heard right from this point because of whom the points have been deducted.

[Ah the tried and tested example setting move by the teachers. They all like to do that. Punish a student more than he should be to set an example for the class. Ah... those were the days] Merlin said with a little nostalgia settling in.

'Don't tell you too had this kind of problem at your age,' Orion didn't bat two eyes at Snape, points huh! what are those?

[Era doesn't matter, everywhere human behaviour is the same. Teachers just use mass manipulation tactics for crowd control. Nothing bad but still that's what usually happens.] Merlin said, he too knew that schools wouldn't be if those naughty children were not controlled like this.

Sigh this just explains just how nothing in this world is inherently good or bad. Just the context and situation matter. Usually, Manipulation will be bad but in this case, it's important so that society can work.

Usually birth of a child is a happy occasion but multiply that by a billion. Yeah, serious overpopulation issue. Nothing is good or bad inherently. It's just the situation which defines an action's nature.

"Sigh," Orion nodded in acceptance at what Merlin had to say. Nothing is good or bad. It's just the situation which defines the situation.

Snape thought didn't hear Merlin's wisdom and only saw Orion nodding and sighing like an idiot in front of him. This to some degree irritated him and to some degree confused him.

Maybe it was this situation that made him forget that it happened by habit, Snape launched a mental attack before be thought about it.

Orion who was contemplating the truth of the world with Merlin and planning whether he should just let it burn in hell, felt the mental prompt.

For a second even he was a little taken a back. Why Snape is using this low-level mental prompt on him. He can expect this from someone like Malfoy, not learning something in the first time. But not Snape.

By the experience of last time, Snape should know that he has a pretty good mental shield. Not to mention he retaliated against both him and Dumbledore last time. Snape should know that he has a way to not only block his attack but this attack him back.

Orion mind worked a thousand miles a minute, pondering what to do when he finally thought of something. He let the attack come.

It's not like Snape will get anything besides a strong headache thanks to his real shields still being active saving his more important memories and this high-speed thinking.

Snape didn't take a long time before realizing what he did wrong here unconsciously but before he could even remove his mental prompt he found himself inside Orion's mind.

This surprises him. Didn't the child in front of him have a shield back then? He questioned himself but that was only for seconds before he planned to go through Orion's mind.

For the last two years, Snape has been looking over both Orion and Nick. And although he didn't like the kid that much, he somehow resembled James Potter a lot. Not the bad qualities but still that positive outlook in life and hyperactive personality were kind of similar. Not to mention to his eternal dismay, Lily's daughter likes the kid.

And although he didn't like the child, he didn't hate him either. The child was a genius, nothing like that scum Potter. A potion master at the age of mere 13. That even broke his own record. And he was the youngest before Orion.

But above anything, Orion was a good boy. Both Dumbledore and Snape agree on this one thing. He is greedy to hell, has bad manners, is hardheaded and has little respect for authorities but not bad. Otherwise, he would never have written those books. Otherwise, he would have never created something like Squib Potion.

Both he and Dumbledore can sense pure magic and this child's magic is the very definition of pure, even Dumbledore the greatest white wizard of this century was nothing compared to this child. It's mind-boggling that two years ago this same kid wasn't even capable of using a simple Lumos.

But that doesn't matter. What is important is that Orion is not someone bad. When compared to Nick Iron. The boy rik of dark magic. Snape had no idea why Dumbledore was still letting that boy in Hogwarts.

But now Snape is not too sure. He can't sense Orion's magic. It's very similar to what it was back when the boy first came to Hogwarts. But the only difference here is that back then, Orion almost had zero magic. And now the boy is hiding his magic.

Some witches and wizards with extraordinary control of their magic can hide their magic completely from others. Others might don't know but Snape does. There are some upsides to following the dark lord too after all. So he can't sense Orion's magic right now. This means he can't say whether the boy has come under contact with any dark magic. Compared to this, spying on Nick was much easier.

So when he got the chance to enter Orion's mind. He took it with Gusto. The only problem here is that Orion's thoughts were running on steroids.

'20 points huh, is that important ?'

'What was he talking about, what kind of news is out there about me?'

'Damn, this place stinks, how long has it been since this place is not been clean,'

'Did Snape change his hairstyle, why so suddenly...

'Don't tell me that he got a date...

'Did he upload a fake Profile image on Tinder,

'One minute the wizarding world doesn't have a tinder.'

'Maybe I can make one. That would be so cool. Maybe then even McGonagall can find someone to date,'

'Hehehehee,'

'I just got the idea of the century, how about setting up the queen with Dumbledore? That would be awesome. Fuck the law of secrecy...

'Hahahahahahahaa...

One minute why he is still looking at me like this, don't tell me he is into little kids...

...

'I mean man, I am a man after all...

'Maybe I too should get a girlfriend. It is better to find love before feminism corrupts them.'

'Who should I choose, maybe a sailor moon girl, not sure how to get there but I can find a way, only need to arrange and shuffle the world time continuum.

'Or maybe someone from One Piece, they got good gals there. I even have a way to get there.

BOA hehehehehe....'

All sorts of nonsense entered into Snape's mind making him twitch his eyebrows again and again.

Half of the mental nonsense which was generated inside Orion's mind was outright chaotic, idiotic and infuriating, while half of the nonsense was beyond Snape to comprehend.

And Snape didn't care either, this was not the first time he was dealing with this kind of onslaughts of nonsense from Orion. The boy's mind is pretty strange. Snape has no idea how Orion even stays focused for more than a second with this kind of chaotic mind. Let alone talk with someone.

Shaking his mind slightly Snape concentrated. It's very hard to get any information on the boy with this kind of chaotic thinking. Let alone finding specific information from his head. Right now Snape was trying to do the same. Trying to find how strong Orion is and how he got that strong.

But what he didn't expect was that it was Orion himself who let him inside his mind.

Why?

Becuase Snape is distracted in his mind and all that auto-generated nonsense. Orion uses his own Legillemency powers.

[Haha, the predator will become the prey. I like it.

It's always satisfying to beat them in their own games.

What are you looking for] Merlin laughed maniacally but Orion didn't care and didn't say anything.

He only focuses on Snape, slowly entering into Snape's mind without him letting him know. Snape's mental shields are still there, so he has to be careful.

But Orion hasn't learned Ancient Magic in the past 3 years for nothing.

Slowly he got inside his shield without letting him know and started to make copies of the memories which he wanted, another advantage of Ancient magic.

Ancient magic is powerful, yes, but above all, it gives the user a lot of abilities and hacks.

Those hacks are the real reason why Ancient magic is so powerful.

Orion smiled, in fact, he was grinning ear to ear with the amount of blackmail material he was getting out of Snape.

[For some reason I pity this man now]

'Pity indeed,'
