I felt like I was floating, the sounds around me distant and muted as I stared at the screen in front of me. It was an old video, one I had watched countless times before. But today, it felt different, like the images were pulling me into a past I wasn’t sure I was ready to revisit.

Lena’s face filled the screen, her blue eyes sparkling with that familiar blend of warmth and determination that used to make my heart race. “Eason is an amazing athlete,” she said, smiling into the camera. “And even if he wasn’t, I’d still stand by his side. To me, he’s the best in the world, no matter what.”

Her words lingered in the air, filling the room with a tension I couldn’t escape. I remembered the first time I’d heard her say that. We were on set, filming the documentary that was supposed to capture our journey together. Back then, I believed every word she said.

But now, after everything that had happened, those same words felt like a riddle, something to be deciphered.
