Dare had been invited to a party by, one of her best friends, Steve. She was glad to see that there was a keg of beer in the kitchen and plenty of red solo cups to drink out of.
"You need to loosen up a bit," Steve commented, placing a hand on her shoulder with a smile.
"What would ya know, GlandsBurg?" She growled, a little annoyed.
But he was right, she needed to let loose and relieve all that stress she's had with school. Dare wasn't the brightest, but, definitely, not the dumbest. She still struggled with keeping her grades above a C. That doesn't seem too bad until your mom beats you to death for having a single B on your report card.
Very few people knew that Dare was getting abused by her mom. Hell, Steve didn't even know and she told that idiot practically everything.
"Calm it down, Angry Birds," he chuckled, using the nickname her little sister gave her. "Just relax and have a beer."
//eleven-teen beers later\\
"Wooooo!" Dare howled, a permanent grin across her face. She was dancing so horribly and way out of rhythm, but so was everyone else. Either that or they were just making out in random locations.
"Guess who just showed up!" Steve shouted over the music blasting in the living room.
"Ryan Reynolds?" Dare asked, hiccuping at the end.
"No, Angela, that chick you've had a crush on for the longest time ever!" Steve smiled, flicking Dare on the nose. "Think you can hit it off with her?"
"Drunk as hell *hick* yes. Who could *hick* resist this face?"
Steve just rolled his eyes, then led her to the most secluded, quiet area in the house. The dining room where no one was aloud to go in. Mainly because Steve's mom had just got a new set of glass plates and cups. She just had to put em in a glass cupboard to show off in front of all her friends when they came over.
Reaperela stood beside the table awkwardly with her tail wrapped around her leg. She didn't even know why she came, it was not like anyone would wanna hang out with a monster like her. Her glowing pink and green eyes looked down at the floor as she sighed. (Two things. First, I only wrote the monster thing because it was something Reaperela was thinking to herself. Second, her right eye glows pink and her left eye glows green)
"Look who I found~" Steve said, wiggling his eyebrows at Reaperela. He shoved Dare over to her. "Cupid must leave now. Must find other people to help who are in need."
Steve planned the entire thing out because he knew for a fact that Reaperela also liked Dare. He had persuaded Reaperela to come, then got Dare to drink because he was well aware that she opened up much easier when handed a few beers. Even if she lost a few brain cells and couldn't speak as properly...not very coordinated either...NONE OF THAT MATTERS!!! All that matters is that Dare won't be complaining to him how tired she is of being single. She'll be too busy kissing Reaperela's ass to complain about anything. Besides, Reaperela deserved to be spoiled and if anyone could do that it would be Dare.
"You're *hick* perty," Dare grinned goofily at Reaperela.
Steve face-palmed, sighed, then walked out now realizing the faulty in his stupid little scheme.
Reaperela just blushed, "Th-Thank you, D-Dare..."
"I've liked *hick* ya for a good *hick* while now," Dare started to explain. "Yup *hick* y-you are *hick* perty as perty *hick* could be. Like one of them *hick* them real shiny lookin..."
"Diamonds?"
"Yeeeeaaaah *hick* them."
Dare was tired of talking and thought she'd made her point as clear as day. Without another word, she pressed her lips against Reaperela's. This caused Reaperela to go wide eyed, but she slowly gave in, closing her eyes and enjoying every second of it, ignoring the bitter taste of alcohol on her tongue.
It all felt like a dream. One she never wanted to wake up from, but it all came crashing down when Reaperela realized that Dare couldn't really mean all of what she said. She is drunk for Satan's sake.
Reaperela pulled away and shoved Dare away from her, starting to panic. She broke down into tears.
"Waz *hick* wrong?" Dare managed to ask once she got up off of the floor. "Did I h-hurrt you *hick* perty lady? Perty Angel..."
"Y-Ye don't love me," she cried out, wiping her cheeks.
Reaperela ran out of the house, not wanting to see Dare and her STUPID face and that STUPID fucking grin.
"Reaperela!!" She heard someone calling her name. "What happened?!!! COME BACK!!!!!" Their voice faded.
//ze next day\\
Dare had an awful hangover and couldn't stand being at school especially when Steve told her all of what happened last night. She couldn't believe she blew it with Reaperela, but what could you expect? She was drunk.
To make things even worse, every time she tried to approach Reaperela in the hallways, she'd run away. The only thing Dare could do was glance at her in the middle of class and try to pass her notes without getting caught.
Finally, after school, Dare was able to catch her leaving.
"Wait, wait, Reaperela," She blurted, grabbing her arm and turning Reaperela around to face her. "I don't remember much of what happened last night, but...I'm sorry...whatever my drunk ass said or did to you..."
"Do you?" That's all she asked.
"Do I what?"
"L-Love me?"
"That's quite a word...I don't know the feeling, but...if it is what I feel towards you...th-then, yeah. I've always had feelings towards you."
"So...all of what ye said last night WAS true..." Reaperela trailed off, thinking for a moment.
Dare barely had time to react before getting tackled down to the ground by Reaperela and getting kissed.

//Dare's POV\\
"Hey, sis!" Winnie shouted as she walked into my trashed house.
I had been passed out on my couch with a beer bottle. The only time I ever went out was for work or to get groceries, but usually I just ate an ordered pizza.
"Look at you! You're a wreck!" She shouted at me, taking the bottle from me. "Come on, you are going out tonight. Besides! It's been two years since Tony."
"Don't remind me," I mumbled, rubbing my head to try and sooth the hangover that was hammering at my brain.
"You need to move on. Destiny found someone you could at least hang out and have lunch with."
"Do I have toooooo?" I whined.
Winnie yanked me up by my arms and drug me to my bedroom to find something decent for me to wear.
"When's the last time you did laundry?" She finally asked as she looked in all my empty drawers and closet.
"When was the last time I was at your house?"
"Jesus, what am I gonna do with you?" My blue haired sister sighed, pushing some hair out of my face. "I guess you'll just have to wear the flannel I bought you with these black jeans."
"Don't make me go out," I continued, turning around and hugging her.
She patted my back softly, then pulled away. "You know you need to give this a shot. What's the harm in trying something new?"
"It's a blind date, Win," I deadpanned, changing outta my pajama pants and into the black jeans she had put on my bed. "One of the most awkward things ever. Plus, usually it's something your friend or, in my case, what my SISTER is forcing me to do."
She rolled her eyes, then threw me a black and white button-up, walking out with her arms crossed.
I quickly got dressed and brushed my hair so it wouldn't be as wavy as it's been.
"Alright, I'm ready for whatever the hell you are making me do," I sighed, walking out to have her pull me out of the house by my hand.
"Ok, so you'll be polite, no dirty jokes, and be yourself," Winnie explained, flattening out my shirt so it wouldn't look all wrinkly.
"If there's no dirty jokes, then I ain't really bein' myself," I countered, earning a glare from her.
//Outside a Café//
I looked out the window to see no one else sitting outside the café besides a very pretty looking girl with brown hair and dark brown eyes.
"Have fun!" My sister blurted with a squeal, shoving me out of the car and leaving me on the sidewalk as she sped off.
I almost panicked for a second, thinking I forgot my wallet. I soon found it in my back pocket with a rose hanging out. Seriously, what's wrong with my sister, I thought, chuckling as I walked over to sit in front of the girl.
Seeing her up close, I noticed how nervous she looked, the several cuts and scars along her arms. She wasn't wearing anything too over the top. Just a long green dress that covered her shoulders.
"Hi," I grinned. "My name's Stacy and I was forced to come here against my own will...please...please help."
"Oh," She giggled. "My name is Angela, but I prefer to be called Reaperela."
"As you wish," I handed her the rose, then a waiter walked over.
"I see your date has finally arrived. What would you two ladies like to drink?" He asked.
"Uh...I'll have a...water," I mumbled.
"I would like a water, too, please," she said, politely.
He walked away after nodding at us.
"So...." I trailed off, tapping my fingers against the glass table. "It's been awhile since I have went out."
"I haven't ever really been on a date," she blushed, staring down at the rose in her hands.
"Well, this is a Blind Date...which means it'll be filled with long pauses and awkward silences."
"I think ye will make sure it won't be silent for long," Reaperela giggled.
"Ya know me already," I chuckled.
The waiter came back with our drinks and then asked what we were gonna eat. I scanned the menu for a bit before deciding on having a burger and fries. I got a little pissed when the waiter said they didn't serve fries with their burgers, but I managed not to make a big deal about it.
"I'll have a salami sandwich," Reaperela told him as he wrote it all down in his notebook.
"Anything on it?" He asked. She shook her head and he left.
"Anyways, I've been having a rough couple of years," I continued, fumbling with the sleeves of my shirt and taking a sip of the water. "And my sister said I needed to get out of the house and all that."
"My counterpart said this would be good for me. I think she is friends with your's," Reaperela replied.
"That's not surprising. I guess they thought we would hit it off nicely. I forgot to compliment you on the dress...you're really pretty." I grinned once I saw her start blushing.
"Th-thank you. You look very lovely yourself."
"Oh, ya shoulda seen me before. I'm just glad I can clean up for ya."
The waiter brought us our food and we started eating.
"I still cannot believe they don't serve fries with their burgers," I blurted, with an annoyed look.
"I thought everyone served burgers with fries," Reaperela said, looking at my plate curiously as she took a bite of her salami sandwich.
"If they don't, their doing it wrong."
After that, things went silent and we soon finished eating. The waiter came up with the bill and I pulled out my wallet.
"Are ye going to pay for all of it?" Reaperela asked, her purse in hand. She was about to take out some money.
"Yeah, I'm paying. What kinda date would I be if I didn't pay for everything?" I asked, furrowing my eyebrows.
"I should pay for half."
"No, it's fine. I can pay."
"Can I at least leave a tip?" She asked, still wanting to pay for something.
"Ok, you can leave a tip and I will pay," I agreed, getting up and paying inside.
I walked out a few seconds later to see Reaperela had left a five dollar bill at the table for the waiter.
"Alright, Ma'm," I said, tipping my imaginary hat and holding out my hand for her to take. "Let's leave this joint."
Reaperela giggled, taking my hand as we walked down the sidewalk together. "I had a nice time," she smiled.
"Me too. We should do this again sometime." I held up our hands and twirled her around a few times with a grin. "Wanna go see a movie with me?"
"When?"
"Whenever ya want. We don't even have to go out, we can chill at my place...or your's."
"That will be fun."
"Yeah," I smiled.
Screw it, Winnie was right. Blind dates aren't as bad as I thought they were.
