Chapter 19: Unraveling the Conspiracy (Chapter 18)
The social president slams their hand into the table. Sauha shouts, "Naoki, what's the problem, sir?" Naoki stares at Sauha and says, "Problem? You let some random kids inside our underground bidding hall! Let's not forget they freed many children I wanted to enjoy!" Sauha snaps back, "Well, sir, don't worry at all. We got it covered. Of course, you will receive as many as you want. We just need the government's funding." The yakuza leader speaks up, "Shut up, Sauha! You will not receive funding. You messed up, so now you better make up for it. Kill that bastard Leo Hakai kid, slice him to pieces, and feed him to my Rottweiler." Sauha trembles and agrees, "Yes, sir."
Naoki looks at Sauha and says, "You will receive funding, Yakuza. Whatever you seem fit, pass it to Sauha's gang. I'm sure they would fix their problem quickly." Leo looks up in disgust and anger, forcing himself to stay put while Juko and Rico observe the scene. Saki takes care of Leo, who is in deep anger.
The yakuza and the other men leave the premise. Leo, Rico, Saki, and Juko look into the skies, and Juko speaks up, "Shit, they got the government on this bullshit as well. I can't believe it." Rico adds, "Those bastards will pay for this." Leo and Saki stand silent, disgusted by the whole ordeal. They clear the path and drive home. Leo goes into his bedroom to find a note by his mother, containing instructions. Leo crumbles the note up and burns it. Saki, wondering what it said, asks Leo but gets no response. Later that night, she finds condoms, shocked but flustered, she goes to sleep.
Upon waking up the next day, Leo walks into the other room. It's Saturday. Saki emerges from behind and gives him a hug. Leo gets flustered and pushes her to the side, sighing. Suddenly, Leo gets a text from Juko, saying they are coming over in a second. Leo responds with, "Okay." Juko and Rico arrive at Leo's house, rushing in. Rico starts the conversation, "We are screwed." Leo looks at Rico confused. Rico elaborates, "The plan is in shambles. Somehow, someone saw us on the roof that night, and my funding has been cut. I've been fired from the police academy. Someone with power did this. They confiscated my gun and everything." Leo looks shocked at Rico and says, "Shit, that can't be. You can't be serious." Saki looks out the window and spots armed men by the entrance of the house. Hiding, Saki says, "We gotta go now." Leo sneaks a peek and says, "We are going." They run out the back entrance but are surrounded by 20 policemen. They all get arrested.
Leo, Saki, and Juko are transferred to another juvie detention hall while Rico is set for questioning. A policeman says to Rico, "So, Rico, you are harboring some confidential notes, correct?" Rico demands a lawyer, but the policeman hits him across the face, saying, "Shut up, you imbecile. You have no right to demand anything. Don't worry, soon you will see." 15 minutes pass by, and suddenly Naoki, the president of the social party, enters. He says to Rico, "I'll give you two choices: either you hand me the information, or I will test my newest drug on you." Rico mumbles with fear, "We didn't see much, but here's the recording of the meeting." Naoki answers, "Good boy, Rico." In the heat of the moment, Rico shouts, "Please don't hurt Juko or Saki or Leo!" Naoki says, "Don't worry, they will be given to Sauha. He will decide their fate."
