Chapter 191: Immediate Regret

"I feel like you're going to get me into trouble tonight," Luca said as he stroked Sophia's cheek. 

Her face already felt warm from the alcohol at the party then what they had just drank together. Even he was feeling all of what he consumed that night. 

No matter what he did at the holiday party, if his hand was empty, someone insisted he have another drink. He remembered quickly that he had to keep a drink in his hands at all times or they were going to continue being pushed onto him. 

"I'm not near my heat," she said. "They're becoming more predictable. The signs are easier to see." 

"But if I lose control, you will too," he reminded her. "I've never felt so out of control in my life." 

Normally Sophia wouldn't press his buttons as much as she was at that moment especially considering they were in public.
