Chapter 1: The Birth Of A Curse
In an era where light magic was known as holy magic and those who had the ability to control light magic where know as heroes. While humans who had the ability to control dark magic were automatically considered cursed and were called demons.
There was different types of magic users ,
The first type was known as the common type fire, water, earth and wind
The second type was known as the unique type ice and lava and lightning
The third type was known as holy magic which was light magic
And finally the last type was known as the curse magic and that was dark magic
My parents were simple people born without the ability to control magic and we lived a peaceful life in a small village called Raion village.
I was loved and cared for and when I turned 5 my parents took me to a scientist who examined me for mana
"Hello I'm Mr Freud and what's your name?"
"My name is Leo and I am 5 years old"
"Well Leo I want you to hold this crystal...
Can you do that for me?"
"Yeah I can do that"
I was handed a crystal the size of a football and at first nothing happened but then it started to turn black
"Oh no this boy is cursed, he has dark magic in him, we must tell the the Village leader"
My parents began panicking and started to grab Mr Freud stopping him from leaving the room
All of a sudden my mother grabs onto me and rushes me outside the school and out the village
I started to cry and panic, my mother ran deep into the jungle
"I'm sorry son but mother can't protect you anymore"
After 30 minutes of running my mother hid me inside a tree and before leaving she gives me a tight hug
"Leo my son I'm so sorry but the village will kill you and so your mama and papa won't be able to stop it, so that's why mama has to leave you here"
As my mother ran away she shouted
"Stay away and don't come back!"
I started to cry wanting my parents,
I climbed out of the tree falling onto the floor,
I scraped my knee and started to cry even more rolling around of the ground, getting covered in dirt
After a few minutes I realised that my parents won't be coming for me so I stood up and started to walk around the jungle aiming to go back home where my mum and dad would be.
However as I walked around I only found my self going further away from my village.
I walked for an hour and couldn't find a single person so I started to cry because I started to feel lonely.
Eventually My stomach started to rumble so not only was I feeling lonely bit now I was hungry too, I started to look around for food and at first all I found was large trees, thick bushes and flowers all around me.
"I'm so hungry, where is my mum and dad, why did they leave me here?"
While walking I stumbled upon a bush that had black berries on it
So I rushed towards the bush and began eat them. My hands, mouth and even my top covered in berry juice.
After stuffing my face I continued walking in the jungle hoping to find my way back to my village.
It was After another 20 minutes I found my self deep within the jungle lost, when I started to hear a noise
The noise sounded like two people fighting, loud clashing of swords were heard along side people screaming
I forced myself through the bushes receiving minor scratches and as soon as I popped my head out I found a lady wearing a long black dress that had a trail, she had a gold tiara with purple and red gems on the edges, she held a long thin wooden mage staff that had a dark glow to it and from her entire body there was aura of black smoke emitting to her surroundings.
In front of her was a green slimy creature, height of about 4ft holding onto a sword and shield that was clashing with a man wearing silver armour from head to toe holding onto a long thick sword.
My body stopped moving because it was in a state of shock because of the fight I was witnessing
"Hero you think you can kill me when your struggling against a mere junior goblin ahahaha" Says the women wearing a black dress
"Struggling I'll show you what a hero can do" Says the man in armour
The hero raises his sword above his head
"Holy judgment" Says the hero as he swings his sword downwards cutting the junior goblin in half and the wave of light energy moving in the direction of the lady
But the lady forms a dark barrier with her mage staff
She rushes forward towards the hero and as the hero swings his sword she vanishes right in front of him only appear standing behind him
While the hero tried to stop the momentum of his swing to jump away from the lady,
He was too slow in his actions and was stabbed in the back.
He fell onto the floor, with blood spewing out of his back.
I was trembling because of what I just witnessed and began wishing that I could run away but couldn't as my body was to scared to move
The lady started to coat the man in a black smoke and I saw this as a chance to run and so I took a step back, only to have stepped on a twig
The lady turned towards me, I felt a shiver down my spine so I sat in a squat position covered my head with my hands and closed my eyes wishing that the lady would ignore me
After a few minutes of just sitting their I felt brave enough to look up as I felt that the lady had run off
When I looked up I saw a dried up body as if the blood had been drained and all that was left was human skin covering a skeleton body, the armour was missing and the lady seemed to have gone
I stood up and crept up to the body, I touched the body and it felt cold.
I was terrified so I decided to leave the area and as soon as I turned the mans armour was on someone else standing in front of me
I screamed like mad and in that moment a wave of dark energy emitted out of me causing the armour to collapse and fall onto the floor
It seems that there was no one inside the armour
"Hey boy what did you just to my new toy?"
I turned towards the voice and found the lady in the black dress sitting on a tree branch
My heart started to race and I started to sweat
"I...I.. di..did...didn't....dd...do...aann...any...anything"
She gliding off the branch and stood right in front of me, towering over me smiling with an evil smile
"Hey boy what is a little kid like you doing out here all by yourself?, where is your family? and what is your name?"
"Mm...my naa....naaame...iii...is...Lll...Lllee...Leo, aaan..."
"Boy stop stuttering and talk properly i'm not going to hurt you!" says the women annoyed.
I took a deep breath and paused for a few seconds to calm my heart beat from racing
"My name is Leo and my mum left me here saying it's not safe for me"
"Well it seems your mum left you here to keep you safe from the people who wish to hurt you"
"Erm can you help me find my mum and dad?"
"Hmmm what's in it for me?...
If I help you what can you give me?"
I started to search my pockets and found a few berries, and a little pebble. I placed it in my palms and offered it to the lady
"Ahahaha boy you are too cute, put those flirty things back in your pocket I will help you find your parents"
"Thank you, thank you" I said all excited,
Her staff started to glow and right in front of us a portal formed that was black in colour
"Ok kid follow me in and call me Miss Trinity"
I nodded excitedly and followed her into the dark portal
When we came out of the other side I was floating in the air over my village
I was so scared but also excited that I didn't know how to act so I just stayed quiet
"Leo look down over there is that your parents?"
When I looked down I saw my parents shackled up on a stage with the villagers all watching them shouting abuse and hurling stones
"Kill them!"
"Hang the traitors"
I started to panic worrying about my parents
"Miss Trinity I don't know whats happening to my parents can you help"
"I'm sorry Leo your parents are most likely going to be killed for hiding you in the jungle"
"Why?,
I didn't do anything,
I really didn't"
"Boy you have dark magic in you and that is the reason why they want you,
They see you as a curse like me"
" I don't care if they see me as a curse please help my parents, I know you can do it,
You're strong so please help"
While I pleaded with miss Trinity down below in the village my parents had just been executed with their heads cut off"
As soon as I turned to look down, I noticed my parents bodies fall to the floor, I fell into a blind rage and started to emit wave after wave of dark energy
The villagers looked up towards me and miss Trinity and started to scream and panic.
The village soldiers started to shoot at us with flaming arrows and even lightning bolts but the waves I was emitting prevented any of the attacks to hit me.
Miss trinity karate chopped the back of my neck making me fall unconscious and she carried me back through her dark portal.
After a few hours I woke up.
I looked around and found myself in a cave that was decorated very nicely
It seems like there was many entrances into the room I was in, the floor was carpeted and the walls had fire lamps attached on. There was a stage with a throne on.
one side of the room had two rows of chairs and the other had armoured statues of different creatures.
"Where am I?"
"Your in my dungeon, you went all berserk so I had to put you to sleep" says Miss Trinity who just walked into the room
"My parents we need to go save them"
"Boy did you forget your parent were killed because they saved your life and now you want to go back and risk the life they sacrificed their lives for?...
Are you stupid just stay here for a while and when you feel strong enough you can go and seek revenge"
I felt so upset with the words miss Trinity said to me as I knew deep down my parents sacrificed their lives to save me.
It was in that moment I knew that miss Trinity was the only person who could help me grow stronger so that I could get my revenge on the humans who did killed my parents.
