Chapter 141: They're Gone!

Margaret reached the area and saw her son, sporting a gloomy expression on his face, sitting in the backseat of the car.

Brent was staring outside the window of the car, wearing a dispirited look on his face when his mother came into view, he blinked twice. "Mother..."

Margaret sighed heavily after seeing the forlorn expression on her son's face. "Son... let's talk..."

Brent exited the vehicle and faced his mother. "You finally come..." he said.

"Yeah. So this is the area where the incident took place?" Margaret asked.

Brent nodded his head, then looked at Jonathan and said, "Yeah... and this is Irene's driver, Jonathan..."

Jonathan greeted the elderly woman. "Good afternoon, Madam!"

"Hello, Jonathan, nice meeting you..." Margaret smiled to make the driver feel at ease with her presence. Then she looked at her son and asked, "Any progress with your investigation?"
