Chapter 46: Where is he? (Emilio's POV)

Things had been good between for the past week, or so I thought.

You can never really tell with women so you have to tread lightly.

She seemed back to her lively self after the incident and I was glad that she had forgave me and even bought me a drink.

It was just a simple gesture, but it made my heart pounded in my chest.

She was so sweet that I could kiss her, but I didn't.

She was so wholesome and fresh that I wanted to ruin her, but not in a bad way.

She had grown on me like some sort of fungus, but I wasn't complaining.

I liked having her around.

She kept me grounded and humble and never ceased to check me whenever I'm being irrational or unfair.

Her summer ray smile paired with her big pretty eyes and smart mouth kept me on my toes and reminded me of my age that I wasn't some cranky old man and that I was only in my twenties and should be living life.
