Chapter 1: THE FIRST DAY
ANNE'S P.O.V
I transferred to this school located in a relatively large town or you could say a city. I always had the desire to live in a place enclosed by nature plus I have a large house with a swimming pool, so considering how I ended up here. It is an overall good situation for me.
And today is my first day in this school. I am very excited because who doesn't love school, all the judgy students, teachers who love giving out assignments right before exams, and never will I forget the food in the cafeteria.
My god! makes me remember some foul memories.
Right now my main focus is trying to get to the office so I could get my schedule and locker number.
I get my schedule (after asking a cute student)and my first period is Mathematics.
Is my luck that terrible or what?
After having drowned in self-pity knowing that I have math first thing in the morning while I'm in the restroom. I move on a mission to find my class, Where the fuck did the students go? They were here just a minute ago...
Discerning something behind me I turn--only to be back-hugged by a person and hear them whispering 'mate' 'mate' 'mate' or something similar, I slammed the person into the nearby locker by my elbow and turn to see a guy with blonde hair and green eyes, who looked stunned?
What the fuck are you surprised for? I was the one randomly attacked out of nowhere.
"Who are you? What do you want?" I asked him, still holding him down by his very firm chest, How did they find me so ear-
"More like threatened" my inner voice mocked me.
I rolled my eyes mentally...
That is when I sense two-no-three people behind me and turn to see them looking at me with open mouths as if I killed someone.
Shit! I let my guard dow-
"I am sorry, I mistook you for someone else", I hear the guy speaking.
My hair is red, Who the hell could you mistake me for? But I let go of him because he looked to be genuinely apologizing, or could just be a good actor.
This time I went with the first option.
"I apologize for slamming you into the lockers, but it was your mistake for running and suddenly hugging somebody"
"No problem" He replied laughing. "However, I must say that you are pretty strong"
I scrunch my forehead confused. Just because I am a girl, do you think I am weak?. Before I could question what he meant. (along with it give him a piece of my mind). He ran away with his friends so I cursed him in my head.
I get startled due to the bell ringing and resume the search for the class.
" Ugh! I could have just asked them for help" I mutter in frustration rubbing my forehead.
I stare at the door in love that I didn't even show my parents and smile triumphantly. Yes! I finally found it after almost losing my freaking mind. I knock and enter the hellr-I mean classroom to see several people staring at me like I am a celeb while few didn't even bother to look up.
" You are the new student ?" The professor asked me lifting his glasses as if to study me.
"Yes I am sorry, I was late because I couldn't find the class"
He looked me up and down(quite arrogantly)and said "Hmm, No problem introduce yourself"
Why? You could just let me go."Hello! my name is Anne and I- "
"Okay Anne, you can sit anywhere that a seat is available "
Wow, What an asshole! Interrupting someone is called being mannerless.
I listen to a knock on the door and a woman with glasses glowers at the professor in fury, who in turn stares at her in alarm and rushes out in hurry. Not before ordering us to do the problems on the board till he returns.
Woohoo, free period on the first day I am lucky as hell!
I notice a vacant seat beside some brunette girl so I sit there and hear a squeak near me. Is there a rat here or some kind of rodent?
I skimmed around a bit alarmed and puzzled.
Fortunately, it was not a rat but rather the brunette girl beside me? I glance at her and...
Damn.
She has a body I would fu-umm, care for(am I having an awakening?), peeking at her face, I see her wearing an unnatural amount of makeup on her(I am sure)attractive face. I am a little disappointed but who cares?
"Oh my God! are you poor? what are you wearing?"
What the actual fuck? why is that hot bo-person speaking in that voice? Wait a minute! before that why is she insulting me?
I knew it.
It was too good to be true. I finally found a girl (my type) but she turns out to be a bitch, with a hot body and chipmunk's voice.
Unconsciously, I snicker at the thought which enrages her.
"HEY! BITCH WHAT ARE YOU LAUGHING AT?"
"What did you call me?"
She smirks and responds smugly crossing her arms"A Bitch"
"Bitches do what they are told don't they?" I look at her innocently and grin.
"Ha-haha-ha Oh-jesus hahaah"
I hear someone laughing and turn around again to see a pretty girl (I did a good job, getting into this school) with ocean blue eyes and... blonde hair?
Now, where have I seen that?
I see the people beside her who are trying to hold in their laughter but I can hear them chuckling. I observe them and recognize them it's the Green-eyed Hottie(what? sue me) and his friends. Oh, Did not know they were in my class?
"You fucking attention-seeking whore''I hear the hot chipmunk scream yet again.
She should really go to a doctor for her voice.
I shift away from her, Well, basically ignoring her because I don't want drama and I frankly don't care.
A growl from the back snaps me out of my thoughts.
Is this a freaking animal shelter or what? First, there was a rat or chipmunk(I don't know)now what, a dog than a freaking snake.
But the dog's growling suddenly caused the rat to become quiet.
Suspicious?
Yes, for sure.
I look behind and see Mr. Green-eyed Hottie staring deep into my soul. Luckily, I don't have one, so good luck finding it.
The whole class suddenly becomes so quiet. You could literally hear the people's breath go in and out of their noses.
Oh No.
I slowly rotate and nearly get a heart attack when I see the professor's face so close to me. Unfortunately, that wasn't the worst part.
It was how he looked so fucking furious. But I mean he is not mad at me.
Right?
"What did I tell you? To be quiet and do the work. NOW YOU BETTER BE QUIET OR ELSE YOU WILL BE SENT TO THE PRINCIPAL'S OFFICE I DON'T CARE IF YOU ARE THE NEW STUDENT OR NOT"
I was completely wrong.
I nod because I consider that's the best option right now.
He returns to his desk fuming. After a while, the bell rings and everyone gets up to leave. I proceed to my next class when I feel a tap on the shoulder and see the pretty girl from earlier.
"Hi, Anne! my name is Lily. I just saw you say some shit to Stacy which was hilarious and you know, you seem cool so I am wondering if you want to walk to the next class with me?"
She is quite straightforward.
Why not? I need someone to show me around and she appears nice(also got eye candy to look at).
"Soo, why did you move here? "Lily asked smiling at me.
"I just wanted a change of scenery and I have some health issues so the doctor advised me I should live in areas with fresh air."
"I am sorry but what kind of health issues?"
"I rather not say"
"you are not much of a talker are you?"
"How did you know?" really? that's what you are gonna ask her.
"Well by the tone of your voice and the way you answer the questions."
By that time we reach the class. The teacher had not yet come so I just sit beside a girl as Lily's class was not with me.
"I just saw you come with the Lily Blade. Are you a new member of the pack? but you smell kind of like a human?" The girl whispered.
pack? human? what does she mean?
When I try to question her, the teacher enters and begins the class.
After the class ends, I see Lily outside of class speaking to some guy, she takes notice of me and smiles at me- quite happily.
She is cheerful like someone I know.
"Hey, Anne you have next class with Jax so he is gonna take you."
"How do you know my next class?" I question tilting my head.
"Ummm- I saw your schedule when we were walking together,"
I raise my eyebrows and look at her doubtful.
Why is she lying?
Since she doesn't look as if she is gonna hurt me so I let it go."Okay"
My walk with Jax was entertaining. He was humorous and a very flirty person. When I told him that he was not my type after his numerous attempts to flirt with me. He responded by raising my hands to his lips:
"Honey, then make me your type" in a sultry voice.
Nonetheless, I smiled awkwardly and removed my hand away.
We reached our class by then and thankfully he sat away from me because he was a tad bit distracting to have near you during class.
The classes finish and finally, it was lunchtime, I was finding a place to eat in peace because I brought my own food(leftovers), as I said, in the beginning, I, Anne Thompson, will never touch the cafeteria food.
I laugh at myself for my lame joke." Haha, I am fun-
Unexpectedly I am flung towards a locker by a rat-no-Stacy. what's her fucking problem?
"Just because you are friends with Lily doesn't mean you will ever be popular, You Slut, I know the only reason she is talking with you is that she pities you"
"Okay, I will keep that in my mind the next time I meet her, "I say while staring at her and clenching my hands.
Mouth, don't say anything.
"Yeah Slut, you should k-
"And before you call me a Slut you should take a look at yourself-who looks like a clown with makeup(lie, obviously)- Sounds like a rat choking on cheese(true)-You probably have sucked dicks of half the male population in this fucking c-"
When I hear laughter next to me, I see Jax and Lily in hysterics. I just gaze at them blankly. like why-
I block a punch Stacy threw at me in no time and swore at myself when I saw all of them just staring at me dumbfounded.
"H- How did you d- do that?"Stacy stuttered visibly confused and frightened. I chucked her arm away and sped away without saying anything.
"Anne! Anne! Wait! Stop!"
I spin around to see Lily yelling and heading towards me.
"What do you want?" I ask while clenching my hand.
She glances at my hand but doesn't say anything "It's lunch! wanna eat together?"
She wants to eat lunch with me... why? she sure is weird.
I agree with her and she leads me to a place under a tree.
There was silence for a time being because I don't talk unless someone talks to me so I was just enjoying my food.
"Sooo... do you fight or something? "Lily asked me after creepily staring at me for a while.
I expected she would ask after what happened back there.
"Yes, I did karate when I was young so maybe due to that," I admitted while shrugging my shoulders.
"Umm okay,"
she does not sound convinced at all.
Time Skip---> After School:
I was walking back because I am broke(almost) and wasted most of my money on the house, school, and some other necessities for the new place.
I need to find a job-
"Are you sure you are gonna find a job in this isolated area?" my inner voice taunts me.
"Let me just walk peaceful and think plus its not isol-"
"darling, peaceful and you are a complete opposite of each other "
I roll my eyes and continue walking.
I feel as if somebody is following me and examine around, though I don't see anyone. I reach the place and run straight to find food because I am hungry.
"When are you not hungry?" my inner voice interrupts me again.
"Just shut up stupid, if I feed myself, I feed you or else you starve" I talk to myself, it's crazy but common for me because I live alone and don't have any friends.
"you just called yourself stupid, man do I feel sorry for you"
I sigh and see there is nothing to eat. I try to order and see there is a McDonald's here. After ordering I take a quick shower, do my homework, and then watch television.
As soon as I hear footsteps and the doorbell rings, I rush to the door.
"Hello, madam here is your order!"
Nodding at him, I hand over the money. Then get back inside excited and start eating while watching a horror movie.
Afterwards, I head back to my room and jump on the bed which is cheap but comfortable. Hugging the blanket, I recall about what happened today, how a hot bitch hates me for no reason, met a nice pretty girl, a flirty Jokester, and finally the Green-eyed Hottie.
Eventually, when the darkness surrounds me, I fall asleep thinking about the eyes which resembled a beautiful green forest.
