Chapter 16: Forest of Death
After the feud between Anko and Cid ended, she started explaining the rules and regulations.
"So before we begin this test, you guys need to sign the standard consent form," said Anko as she pulled out a stack of papers
"Before the test all of you have to read this and sign it, if you want to attempt the exam," said Anko
"but why do we have to sign all this stuff," asked Naruko
"Oh nothing much some of you might die attempting the test, so if you die the blame's on me, so this a consent form so that I can get away with it, hehe," said Anko while smiling sheepishly
'She is kinda cute,' thought Cid with a blush
-----Some time later------
"Now that all of you have signed your forms, I will begin explaining the test, in this test the we will push your survival skills to the limit," said Anko
"First, Let me give you a step-by-step instruction on the terrain of this exam center," said Anko as she took out a map
"Training Field Number 44 is surrounded by 44 locked entrance gates, there are rivers and a forest and a tower in the middle," said Anko
"It's about ten kilometres from the tower to the gate, In this confined area you will go through certain survival program," said Anko
"Now the contents of this program are, anything goes scroll battle," said Anko as she pulled out two scrolls
"I want you to fight for two scrolls, the Heaven Scroll and the Earth Scroll, All together 26 teams got through the first test, Half of them that means 13 get the Heaven Scroll and the other remaining 13 get the Earth Scroll," said Anko
"That means the one with the Heaven Scroll need to find and take the Scroll from the ones with the Earth Scroll vice versa," said Sasuke and Anko nodded
"Yeah Good Job, I will hand over one scroll to each team," said Anko
"So how do we pass, like what are the conditions to pass," asked Sasuke
"Well, your team needs to bring both the Heaven and the Earth Scroll to the tower in the centre," replied Anko
"That means, out of the 13 teams, half of them will fail sure," said Naruko
"Yeah, except it has to be in time, for this second exam the time limit is 120 hours," said Anko
"Moving on, conditions for disqualification, if all three members of the team can't make it to the tower, one or more than one team member get killed or incapacitated, and the lost one do not look at the contents of the Scrolls or automatic disqualification, that is all," said Anko
Team 7 POV:
"So basically 5 days, why not just say that, there are some mentally challenged people here," said Sasuke while looking at Naruko
"Hey sasuke are you saying I am an idiot," said Naruko angrily
"Look she admitted it," said Sasuke
"When did I admit it Saucegay," said Naruko
"you just said 'I am an idiot'," said Sasuke
"Idiot don't look at the scroll," said Sasuke
"Do you think I am idiot who will look at the scroll," said Naruko, but then she realised something
"You bastard, you just called me an idiot didn't you," said Idio- I mean Naruko
"See even the author agrees with me," said Saucegay
"Fuck you," said Saucegay looking at air
"Why the hell is he looking at air," asked Shikamaru who just arrived
"I don't know maybe staying with Naruko impacted his brain," said Cid
"So, do you think we will pass," asked Shikamaru
"Yeah, I think you will, just don't be lazy," said Cid as he patted Shikamaru
------Inside the forest of death------
"Cid did you see the scrolls, we have the Heaven scroll," asked Sasuke in a serious voice
"Yeah, I know the faces of all 13 teams with the Earth Scroll," said Cid but then he sensed something and stopped,
"Guys someone strong is coming, back down," said Cid
'Before Orochimaru came, some sound ninja's should have attacked us, looks like my display scared them off,' thought Cid
Just as Cid said those words, the ground was twisted and a women came out from it
"Oh my you saw me, this will be more fun than I thought," said the women as licked her lips
'Orochimaru, No playing around this time, or I might get killed,' thought Cid he was serious but his battle hungry grin didn't make it look that way
'If I did not make that binding vow I would have used my domain to deal with this guy,' thought Cid
{Cids Binding Vow: In exchange for not using his Domain expansion till he reaches fifteen finger sukuna power level, Cid's physical prowess will be constantly improved}
'this kid he is treating as a sparring partner, interesting,' thought Orochimaru
"You two stay out of this, Dismantle," said Cid as he ran forward and launched an attack on Shiore
"Hah, Wind Style: Great Breakthrough," said Orochimaru, but the attack was chopped into pieces
'Oh, he is unbelievably fast I couldn't even see him attack,' thought Orochimaru launching several of his snakes towards Cid but they were chopped just like before
'It's not speed he is using something else, it is a kekkei genkai?' thought Orochimaru but then he saw a fist coming towards his face
"Don't get distracted or I will kill you," said Cid as he repeatedly punched Orochimaru with Chakra infused attacks [A/N: His chakra is basically cursed energy but he calls it chakra, so here is infusing his fists with chakra but the effect is the same as CE]
'He disappeared, underground, track his chakra,' thought Cid as he saw Orochimaru escape
'This kid, his strength is unreal almost as if I am fighting Tsunade but no worries, and his speed just like Minato, this fight might be dragged on and will grab attention, should complete my objective,' thought Orochimaru as he sped towards Sasuke who was dealing with Orochimaru's snake
'Oh, he is on par with my strong summons, they can give experienced chunin trouble,' thought Orochimaru as he extended his neck and bit Sasuke and ran leaving a scroll behind.
"NO, SASUKE GET AWAY FROM THERE," screamed Cid but he was too late
'This bastard, he tricked me,' thought Cid but then he smiled
'That monster, my body its filled with cuts, when I sped toward Sasuke aiming to kill me, if I had not used my Life force to heal myself, I would have died right there,' thought Orochimaru
'I could have killed him if not for plot,' thought Cid, as Dismantle was invisible to the naked eye, and he could fire of tons of them, but killing Orochimaru will disrupt the plot and he has some use for him so he can't die yet
'This feeling again, I feel stronger, so my theory is right, the more I fight the stronger I get,' thought Cid
