Chapter 1: Chapter 1 : Start of a Storm
"Beep! . . . . Beep! . . . . Beep!"
The loud and rapid sound of a digital alarm awakened Loki, a young man who is tall for someone his age, standing at 7 feet, from his sleep.
By the time the alarm had sounded for 5 minutes straight, Loki had finally awakened from his slumber, and when he opened his eyes, the first thing that caught his sight made his mind freeze.
The first thing he saw was a ruined city, with multiples explosion occurring in the distance, and many cars were destroyed beyond recognition; the sound of hundreds of civilians running away from something filled his ear.
"Ugh . . . , My head hurt." Seeing what happened before him obviously bewildered Loki; the first thing that came to mind was the question of 'What the hell is happening?', followed by 'where the hell am I,' and many things along those lines.
*Roar*
Suddenly, Loki heard a huge roar coming from a nearby road; when he turned his head to look at the source of the sound, what he saw shocked him.
A giant white-colored beast, a really huge one at that, easily towering over a 4 stories building, toppled over a skyscraper and chased everyone that was fleeing from it.
When Loki focused his eyes on the beast, he realized that the beast looked similar to a Honkai, an NPC combatant from the popular game Honkai Impact.
A lot of question marks appeared on Loki's mind; his human mind failed to catch up with the surge of events that were happening.
'What the hell, what the fuck is happening! Can I get some clue! Shouted Loki inside his mind. 'Since when did a Templar-Class Honkai beast become real!',
As someone who loves to play any game made by Mihoyo, there is no way for Loki to not know what a Honkai beast is, considering he had spent more than 1.000 $ on the game Honkai Impact 3 game to get a character that he wanted.
What he wants to know is why is the Honkai beast looks so big! Most of the beasts he saw in the game could barely go past 2 stories buildings, yet the beast before him was more than 40 feet tall.
When Loki saw the beast was done with killing the fleeing civilians, the Honkai turned his head toward him, a lone human still lying down in shock; it began to walk toward him, making Lin Xi turn his tail and run away without any hesitation, immediately dashing toward a faraway crowd who is also escaping the grasp of the numerous Honkai Beast.
'There is no way I'm waiting for that thing to arrive like some Horror movie protagonist!' Shouted Loki inside his mind.
However, the Templar-Class Honkai Beast is not the only type of Honkai that is swarming the area where Lokin is currently; there is even some other weaker Honkai Beast class, such as the Chariot-Class and the Knight-Class, who are also chasing the fleeing civilians.
A lot of Honkai Zombies have also arisen; most of them are wielding a blade, scythe, and other weapons that, due to the Honkai radiation, further strengthen the obstacle that is standing in Lokin's way.
After being turned into Honkai Zombies, the weapon-wielding Honkai Zombies immediately rushed toward the nearest civilians around them, and in less than a minute, they had caused hundreds of casualties.
Loki, who is still running away from the chase of the Honkai Beast, smells the nauseating smell of human blood in the air; the man also sees the numerous gruesome ways the Zombies killed the people around him; his body feels even numb.
While running, his mind kept running, making scenario upon scenario on what was happening to him. Did he die in his sleep and get reincarnated into the Honkai Impact universe? or was the Honkai Force actually real, and his world got invaded?
After making a lot of scenarios, he immediately dismissed them and focused his mind on surviving his current predicament; being able to live is more important right now.

At this time, a Chariot-Class Honkai beast suddenly appeared in front of the crowd Lokin was running together with; the beast then immediately bullrush itself toward Lokin's crowd, launching a bunch of unfortunate souls into the air, killing them instantly.
Loki looks at the fleeing people around him, feeling the same thing as they are; the giant figure of the Honkai Beast causes immense pressure; this kind of presence is not something that the mobile game can only capture by using the game mechanic.
While the rest of the people were busy saving themself, Loki just stood still with a strangely tranquil emotion; his mind was clearer than ever, it's most likely because deep down, he knew that none of them could be saved from this Honkai Beast, unless there is a rather strong Valkryie like Bianca or Rita near the place where they are being slaughtered, and considering the state of the city, and the lack of flying sexy girls, their most likely ending is death, so Loki might as well show some dignity before his death.
"Haaaah...." Sighed out Loki while smiling helplessly, "Sure enough, it's impossible for a nobody like me to become a protagonist; I'm more of a cannon fodder, a casualty number that becomes the protagonist's motivation to become stronger."
"What a wasteful life I had, from birth till death; my life is really meaningless."

Suddenly, a monotone computer-like voice echoed inside Loki's head.
Loki didn't think too much of it at first, thinking that all of the sounds that he heard were purely just his imagination.
In an instant, Loki's consciousness was pulled into a void, and when the Chinese man swirled his head left and right in shock, he finally noticed a flying girl in front of him.
"Paimon?" Said Loki in shock.
What is floating in front of him is the mini version of the Unknown Goddes from one of Mihoyo's mobile games, in other words, Paimon, the traveling partner of Aether.
But unlike the game Paimon, who has a small stature, making her look like a child, the Paimon in front of him had grown more prominent in all the right places, but not to the point where Loki can't recognize her.
"Aether! wait, it's Loki now, isn't it? It's been a long time since you came here; your body looks different from your previous one! not like it matters much; welcome back!" The flying girl said happily; her body was hovering around him, inspecting every part of him with a curious gaze.
Loki hesitated for a moment before he took a deep breath and asked, "That... how do you know my name?"
Hearing his question, Paimon just smiled teasingly and said back, "Why do you think?"
"..."
Loki hesitated for a second and then said/asked unsurely while pointing at himself, "I'm the traveler?"
"Bingo! or, well, you were. now you are Loki." Said Paimon with a slightly sad smile, "By the way, I love to talk more with you after so long, but looking at your situation in the real world, do you, by chance, need my help?"
Remembering how dire his situation was, Loki nodded his head furiously and answered with an anxious tone.
"I do! can you do anything about it? . . . . by the way, where am I now? is this inside my mind?" asked Loki, his tone full of curiosity.
After saying so, Loki realized a big problem, which is the state of his real body in the real world; if the thing that got transferred were both his body and mind, then it's okay; he can just go inside his inner mind until the battle is over, but if it's just his mind which was transferred then he is afraid that his body would already be dead by now.
Hearing his question, Paimon just answered casually. "Your mind only; your real body is still outside." Paimon then snorted when she saw how Loki's face paled before letting out a cute giggle while clutching her stomach.
While she was busy laughing, Loki just looked at the girl with both irritation and relief at the same time, irritated that she was having fun while he was in the crossover of dead and living and relief because this means his real body would be fine.
After taking a deep breath to stabilize herself, Paimon continued to talk with a smile. "You don't need to worry much, Loki; when I pulled your mind inside here, I also turned on the thought acceleration mode, so 1 second outside is equivalent to 3.600 seconds here, so there I nothing you need to be worried about."

Paimon let out a hum of understanding before scrunching her face in deep thought; a few minutes went by before she spoke again. "Okay, I got something that may work well in this scenario; here, try this."
Paimon waved her hand forward, and a flash of light appeared; when the flash was over, ten golden-looking cards were seen floating around her hand, and Paimon then handed all 10 cards to Loki.
Loki takes a look at the card in his hand for a few moments before he lets out a sound of recognition,. "Huh? This is... Honkai impact supply card?"
Loki recognized what the golden card Paimon handed him was; it's the standard supply card that Honkai Impact gamers usually get from the standard pool; the supply card symbol is something he remembers clearly.
"As expected, you still remember what those cards are." Said Paimon with a smile; she then continued. "However, I need to remind you of something important, the way those supply cards function has been changed for some reason, You still can draw a lot of things using those 10 cards, but the thing that you draw now can be used in real life."
Looking at Loki's shocked expression, Paimon let out a triumphant smile before continuing to speak. "Because of that, those 10 cards can really save your ass now if your luck on gacha is as good as your luck on a woman! if you draw something that perhaps enhances either your speed or agility or perhaps something that helps you leave the area with ease, then you can solve your problem without any issue!"
Hearing Paimon's word, Loki nodded in understanding; he then asked the floating girl a critical question.
"What if I get none of those?"
"If you really got nothing, then if I expend all of my remaining power, I can rip open the fabric of time and space for you like when we fight that unknown god in the past, but if I do that . . . ." Paimon turned her head to the side and said with a slight tone.
"If I do that, I can't help you in the future anymore since my body would be in a dormant state, and our next meeting would probably gonna be in your next life as well; it will be painful being alone again, but if it can save you, then I would do it."
Hearing her word, Loki felt touched, "Paimon. . ."
Loki didn't hesitate any longer and instantly went and used all 10 supply cards at once; the situation right now is urgent, so doing all at once rather than one at a time is preferable.
As all ten supply cards began to spin and shine, Loki closed his eyes and began to pray toward any god that may exist to boost his luck.

Loki mule over Paimon's explanation before the realization hit him. "Wait, Paimon, are you saying that I have an equipment slot for Stigmata, and if I put any stigmata in it, I can directly use its power?"
Loki understood Paimon's word completely, and he also understood the implication of being able to freely switch between one stigmata over another; since the Honkai World stigmata are obtained by having a specific DNA, the ability to change it freely is something that would possibly make him even stronger than Kevin!

"Wait, doesn't that mean. . . ." Loki's eyes lit up in surprise; if the 5-star character that is in the stigmata able to manifest themselves into the real wife, doesn't that mean that his silly dream of having a valkyrie wife is possible?

Loki opened his eyes and was greeted with the sight of Paimon, who looked at him with a disappointed gaze; he then let out an embarrassed chuckle while scratching the back of his head and said. "Paimon, do you have any Supply cards left?"
Paimon shook her head and replied. "Nope, that's all I have left."
Loki looked at his floating companion with curiosity and said. "Do you think those stigmata card is enough? Is there anything left that can further improve my survival chance?"
"Hold on a second, let me take a look. . . here! You got some mission; see what it said." Paimon waved her hand over something invisible to Loki, and then a shining square box suddenly appeared before his eyes.
While Loki is reading the word that appeared in the floating box, Paimon explains the mission that he got from it. "From what I read, the mission, for now, is to defeat all of the surrounding Honkai Beast and protect the fellow survivor in your group."
"After finishing it, depending on how many Honkai Beast you defeated and how many people left survived, the reward is divided into three levels, A, B, and C. A level completion will give you 10 supply cards, B will give you 5, and C will only give you 1!"

"Okay! I'm ready now! How do I get back?" asked Loki toward his floating companion.
Paimon let out a happy smile; she then answered Loki's question with a simple answer. "It's simple; you just need to think of going back."
Loki nodded his head; he then closed both of his eyes and focused his mind on willing himself to go back to the real world; not long after that, Loki's consciousness returned to the real world, his nose immediately assaulted by the familiar smell of human blood, and the loud booming sound of exploding vehicle and the numerous cries of pain, panic, and despair near him.
When Loki focused his eyes on his surrounding, he realized that a Honkai Beast was rushing in his direction.
'From the look of it, even though more than 10 minutes have passed inside my mind, not even 0,2 seconds have passed in the real world; what a convenient power!' Thought Loki in awe.
Loki then took a deep breath and looked at the Honkai Beast in front of him. In less than a second, he had changed from a mere ordinary person whosese best chance of survival was using the civilians around him as bait to buy him time to run away to someonwithas the knowledge, skill, and power to handle the giant beast.
Loki grinned and said with glee. "Your attack is full of opening!"
Loki then waved his hand, and a shimmering light surrounded his arm; in an instant, the dark-colored blade that he got from the supply card appeared in his palm; he grasped the sword tightly and crouched in preparation, taking a stance before immediately dashing toward the Honkai Beast.
"Roar!" The Honkai beast who noticed him immediately let out a loud roar, knocking the nearby tree around it, and dashed forward, cracking the asphalt beneath him and causing a sonic boom to emerge; the speed that the Honkai Beast caused easily surpassed the speed of the sound, and all of those speeds are used by it to face against Loki dash head-on.
Seeing the incoming monster, Loki grasped the hilt of his blade tightly; he activated the unique skill of the Aslauq Stigmata that let him control fire, he channeled Honkai Energy into the edge and let it be coated in a blazing fire, and within a single breath, he unsheathed the blade and activated his Tesla stigmata, in an instant, electricity surged inside his body, and the speed of his dash immediately got even faster than before, within a blink of an eye, Loki slide under the bottom of the Honkai Beast. Without the notice of the said Beast, Loki casually swings the flaming blade in his arm toward the beast stomach.
With the ease of cutting butter with a burning knife, Loki successfully cut the giant Honkai Beast in half, causing the surrounding beast and civilians still alive to stand in shock and awe.
Of course, Loki's sudden boost of strength and speed imminently attracted the attention of the nearby Honkai Beast and Zombies, who immediately abandoned their current prey and went straight to Loki, who both Zombies and Beast regarded as the most threatening out of them all.
Seeing the approaching foes, Loki didn't just sit idly; rather than basking on his first Honkai Kill, the Chinese man turned his head left and right, and when he found a secluded area using his enhanced vision, he then rushed toward the location with the least amount of civilians, which ironically, is the place where most Honkai Beast is located.
Because of his Stigmata, Loki's speed is tripled, making him able to rush toward the secluded location while quickly slipping away from the constant swipe and attack from the surrounding Honkai Beast.
Noticing Loki, who can navigate his way around all of their strikes, the surrounding Honkai Beast let out a furious roar and rushed toward him, following Loki's trail and leaving behind the area that's packed with survivors, and in just a few minutes, the Honkai Beast that is attacking and hunting the powerless civilians had been significantly reduced in their number.
Unknown to Loki, his action of running toward the less populated area had indirectly saved more than a thousand innocent lives.
Unfortunately, one of the infinite things in the universe is human stupidity, since rather than escaping from the place, many civilians who realize that they are now safe choose to take out their mobile phones and start recording Loki's actions.
Out of the thousand survivors, more than 90% of them are showing not an expression of the pain of losing their beloved one nor is its expression of despair; instead, they are showing an expression of excitement, and all of their eyes are glued to the phone that they are holding.
While the civilians are busy being stupid, Loki, on the other hand, is having a life-or-death experience at the very exact moment; using his newly acquired super speed, Loki leads the Honkai Beast into an empty location, and when they all arrived, he jumped into the middle of the pack, the sword is held tightly in his hand.
When the bystander saw Loki in the middle of the pack, they all shouted in worry.
"Look! That kid is surrounded!" Shouted one of the bystanders, his hand still holding his phone.
"What about us!? If that kid is dead, we are next!" Shouted another bystander, looking immensely worried about her fate.
Although none of them know about Loki, most of them cannot help but be worried since if that unknown kid is killed in battle, there is a high chance they will be next.
"Roar!"
While the bystander was busy worrying about themselves, Loki rushed toward the nearest Templar-Class Honkai beast with his sword ready; seeing the incoming human, the Templar-Class honkai beast raised his lance and thrust it toward Loki.

Loki rolled over the flying lance, narrowly saving himself from impalement; he then held the grip of his blade with both of his hands, raised the sword above his head, and gathered all of the Honkai energy that his Stigmata made into the tip of the blade, he then shouted as the flame that bursting from the blade burned his palm slightly.
Loki gritted his teeth and swung his burning blade in an arc, causing a gigantic flaming energy blast, any Honkai beast that got caught in it instantly turned into ash.
Loki then swung the blade once more, and then thrust it into the ground, and shouted, "Try surviving this if you can!" out!"
"Boom!"
In an instant, accompanied by a flaming phoenix that flew down to the ground, the phoenix that descended from the cloud turned into a massive pillar of flame at least 50 meters in height.
Not only does the flame instantly vaporize any Honkai Zombies left near Loki, but the shockwave that the phoenix causes also collapses numerous buildings near him, turning the battlefield into a scorching field.
The onlooker who is still recording all of this can't help but hold their gaping mouth in shock since, with this single move alone, Loki hand single handily killed more than half of the Honkai Beast inside the city.
What they didn't know was that this move alone cost Loki 90% of his Honkai Energy reserves; as of now, he only had less than 10% left remaining.
Loki let out a resigned sigh, 'Can't be helped; the temptation to use that move is too much to hold; at the very least, with this, I know that I can't use this skill often.' Thought the man, the flame on his Dawn Blade still flickering.
Loki then looks at his surrounding; the surviving civilians have started to edge closer to him, eager to see the very real superhuman using their very own eyes, uncaring about the scorched land or collapsed building.
Loki decided that it was best for him to retreat for now since if his Honkai energy hit 0%, he got a hunch that he would collapse face first into the ground.
"Doctor Mobius, are you there?"
In Changkong City, in a laboratory of Moth Chasing Fire, a girl with green hair walked inside a laboratory; inside it stood a rather tall adult woman.
The adult is wearing a lab coat and glasses. The adult has long, curly green-colored hair that reaches her waist; she also has a gold earring dangling from her right ear.
"Klein? Didn't I tell you to leave me alone while I was experimenting?" Answered the doctor.
The name of this woman was Mobius, and she is the doctor that the newcomer is looking for.
The little girl called for Mobius is Klein; she has wavy hair, some of which fall below her face and reaches her shoulder. Part of her hair also stands up and curls in a unique way, forming an ahoge. Her eyes are a pink-green gradient in color, with one of them being covered by an eye patch; the little girl wears a white, baggy lab coat with green highlights.
Mobius then placed down the research paper that she was holding on the desk beside her and turned her body toward her friend, and with a weak smile, she then said. "Klein, didn't I already tell you you not to bother me unless it's especially important? The content of the last meeting excluded; the less I think of it, the better I will be."
"Umm..."
Klein scratched her forehead with some hint of nervousness and said, "Dr. Mobius, what I want to talk about is not about the previous meeting; it's about the Honkai Eruption in H city that happened yesterday."
"The Honkai eruption that occurs in H City?"
Mobius frowned and said with a slightly disinterested tone, "What does this have to do with me? It was just a small eruption; the strongest Honkai beast that appeared was a Templar-Class; there is zero chance for an Emperor-Class beast to appear, let alone a Herrscherr; there is little value in researching the Eruption that happened yesterday."
"Doctor, you'd better watch this video first; it has gotten quite viral due to what happened yesterday." Said the more petite girl; she then took the phone out of her jacket and opened up the video-sharing software.
Klein took out his phone and unfolded the hologram...
The video is very blurry because it was shot with a mobile phone and because the distance is too far, plus shaking, so the clarity can really be described as the renaissance, and 360P is an exaggeration.
However, even though the video is very blurry, the general situation can still be seen clearly. Among the fleeing crowd, a boy in white with a saber suddenly rushed towards the Temple-level Honkai Beast, and the sword in his hand ignited a red flame. , slaying the Honkai Beast all the way...

The younger of the two then explained, "The video was shot yesterday, but it was uploaded to the Internet just right this morning, and after careful consideration and calculation about the Eruption that occurred yesterday, it can be said that this figure is the one that killed all of those Honkai Beast."
"From what I have heard, this man immediately disappeared from the battlefield after making that flaming pillar move; after this boy disappeared, the MOTH soldier arrived and purged the remaining Honkai Beast and Zombies left in the city, after done saving the wounded and trapped civilians, some of the civilians then uploaded numerous video with the similar content, about a sword-wielding boy who killed half of the Honkai beast that summoned in the Eruption."
"Has the boy been found?" Asked Mobius with excitement in her tone
Mobius doesn't care about the so-called survivors; she only cares about the teenager in the video!
"No."
Klein shook her head slightly, making Mobius's face scrunched in disappointment; Klein ignored Mobius's face and continued to talk. "Although the MOTH Troop has conducted a search operation for the boy, they haven't found any clues at all about him."
"Due to the shaking, most of what can be seen in the uploaded video is blurry at best; the fact that the boy's back is facing the camera also not helping since it means we can't get any facial data about him." Hearing the explanation, Mobius let out a short laugh and complained.
"Hmph, I knew that those mooks couldn't do anything useful. Had the boy was not in the crowd with the civilians, it's safe to assume that by the time the rescue team arrives, there will be no one left to rescue."
Klein didn't say anything when she heard Mobius's complaint; after all, what she said had some grain of truth in them, and that's one of the reasons why MOTH has such a bad public reputation.
"Hey, what a pity. Had the soldier been able to bring him to MOTH, perhaps I can gain some kind of technological breakthrough by studying his power." Mobius let out a sigh of resignation.
Mobius then licked her lips and said with some desire. "Perhaps, the secret of human evolution revolves around the boy's power, Klein; if you have any new information about him, please notify me; I need to continue my experiment."
"Okay, Doctor."
Klein nodded and left the room.
"Hmmm..."
After waving Klein off her lab, Mobius replayed the video over and over again, and when she confirmed once again that this is definitely a new kind of power, a power that has never been seen or heard before, a power that can let humans win on a fight against the Honkai force.
Feeling excitement bubbling up inside her, Mobius let out a happy giggle and said. "I really look forward to seeing you, my... guinea pig."
Focusing her eyes on the video again, Mobius' eyes were also full of anticipation and curiosity. This kind of power is fascinating; she wants to experiment with the boy to see where this source of power comes from.
