Chapter 132: Chapter 132: Which is more magical, magic or technology?
Hermione took Andy and Isabel on a tour around the house, introducing many technological products unique to Muggles.
Isabel felt that it was all very novel, "Andy, all Muggle things are so magical!"
Hermione was a bit speechless, "It's wizard stuff that's magical!"
You're a little preppy witch living in the wizarding world, and you're saying that muggle stuff is magical?
Is that normal?
"Let's just talk about that Knight Bus."
Hermione said with an amazed look on her face, "That bus is so fast, and it's invisible, that's what's really unbelievable. Andy, how did that bus do that?"
"That was the simplest magic modification."
Andy explained, "Ron's father, Mr. Arthur Weasley, also had a small car. Not only did he modify the incognito function, he also gave the car the ability to fly."
"Oh my god!"
Hermione exclaimed, "Can a car fly too? Would love to see what that would look like."
Isabel brought up an old topic, "Andy, what do you think about getting a TV at our home as well?"
That would certainly be nice!
But ...
Andy said with a look of disinterest, "You can go and talk to mom yourself."
"What about you?" Isabel raised her head and asked.
"I have to go to school, I don't have time to watch," Andy said casually.
The little girl sighed powerlessly, her own weight alone was not enough.
Amid small talk, the three of them came together to the living room.
"Andy, Isabel, what would you guys like to drink? Orange juice or coke?" Hermione asked.
"I'll have a coke, please." After living in the magic world for more than ten years, Andy was on the verge of forgetting the taste of Otaku Happy Water (coke).
"Then I'll have a Coke too." Isabel followed.
Soon, Hermione brought three cups of coke and placed them on the coffee table. The three of them sat on the couch and chatted while watching TV.
It was mostly Andy and Hermione talking, and Isabel's eyes were almost glued to the TV.
"Andy, have you been working on the Patronus Charm during your holiday?" Hermione asked.
Andy and Hermione had corresponded with each other a few times and had talked about some of their recent developments.
"Yeah! Want to see my results?" Andy laughed.
"Of course, I want to see it."
After saying that, Hermione said with a helpless face, "But we can't cast magic outside the school."
Andy smacked his forehead at the words.
I almost forgot about it!
If he used magic in Hermione's house, he believed that the Ministry of Magic would have to send a letter to them.
The purpose of the Ministry of Magic setting up the Trace was to prevent muggle-born young wizards from using magic outside of school, thus exposing the existence of the magic world.
Because children's self-control was relatively poor; if there were no Trace charm, many muggle-born young wizards would probably not be able to resist showing off their magic in front of their friends and family.
But there was no need for children living in the magic world to worry about this.
That's why the Trace magic's tracking ability wasn't perfect.
When Andy used magic at home, the Ministry of Magic could only detect that someone near Andy was using magic, but they couldn't determine that the person using magic was Andy.
Plus, Kyle had already greeted the Ministry of Magic, so Andy was able to practice magic at home.
But he couldn't at Hermione's house.
Once Andy used magic, both Andy and Hermione would be detected by the Ministry of Magic.
"Fine!"
Andy shrugged his shoulders and said helplessly, "Looks like I can only show you my patronus when I return to Hogwarts."
"Is it true that your patronus already has a spirituality?" Hermione asked curiously.
"Uh-huh!"
Andy nodded, "Although that's the case, my Patronus hasn't shown any special abilities as of yet."
When speaking of this, Andy also felt a bit of disappointment.
However, with Andros the Invincible as a role model, Andy was still looking forward to the changes that could occur in his Patronus.
"By the way, Hermione, do you know Andros?"
Andy continued, "He's an Ancient Greek era wizard known as Andros the Invincible, and it's said that his Patronus is as big as a dozen feet, about the size of a giant."
"A dozen feet!?" Hermione exclaimed.
A foot is about thirty centimetres or so, a dozen feet ... that's four or five meters tall.
"Um!"
Andy spread his hands, then asked, "Hermione, when are we going to the amusement park?"
"How about going now? I'm ready and have a detailed plan." Hermione said and pulled a piece of paper out of her pocket, which was filled with plans for the trip.
Andy blinked.
One could only say that it was worthy of Hermione.
"Isa, stop watching, let's go!" Andy said as he got up.
"Well ...," Isabel said with a hesitant look on her face.
The TV was good, she was watching a funny entertainment program, and the host of the program was talking funny.
But the amusement park ...
The little lass was a bit indecisive, she asked, "Hermione, can I watch TV at the amusement park?"
Without waiting for Hermione to speak, Andy laughed, "Isa, you really can't do the math. If mom buys you a TV, you can watch it at home. But if you don't go to the amusement park ... today, you might not get a chance later!"
"Okay! Let's go." Isabel felt that what Andy said was somewhat reasonable.
Worthy of being a brother, he was smarter than his sister.
"Wait a moment!"
Hermione picked up the house phone and called a cab.
While waiting for the car, Hermione explained, "Originally, my dad said he would take us there, and it took me a lot of persuasion to get him to drop the idea."
Thank goodness!
Andy felt that Hermione still understood him.
Of course, Andy wouldn't have minded if Mrs. Granger had taken them.
"I brought my wand, I'll use magic if we get into danger."
Andy said without a care in the world, "The first time you use magic outside of school, the Ministry of Magic will only send you a letter of warning. As for exposing the magic community ... let those professionals handle it!"
Hermione said in the tone of a professional, "Young wizards can use magic when they are in danger outside of school. I've read the laws about it."
"Then there's no problem!"
Andy laughed, "Even if there is a problem, the Ministry of Magic side can hand it over to Headmaster Dumbledore to solve it."
Dumbledore was still very useful.
After waiting for about ten minutes or so, the honking of a car sounded outside the door.
Once Hermione had locked the door, the three of them, including Andy, got into a cab together.
It was Isabel's first time riding in a Muggle car, and she didn't find it interesting at all.
It was slow, it didn't fly, and the car was stuffy in July weather.
"Hermione, are you in touch with Cho?" Andy asked.
Hermione's family lived on the outskirts of London, a long way from the amusement park. If they didn't talk about something, the ride would be boring.
"Yes!"
Hermione said, "I even wrote to her yesterday, she said that she'll go back to China at the end of this month, she'll probably stay there for a month, and won't be back until school starts."
