Chapter 8: Chapter 8: Charlie Weasley

**Chapter 8: Charlie Weasley**

As the dark shadow approached, Harry finally saw clearly what it was.

A dragon, a real one, exactly like those in comic stories.

Why on earth was there a dragon?!!

Harry hurried to escape, but by the time he realized it, the dragon was already close. Its speed was astonishing, and before Harry could run back to the castle, the flying dragon extended its claws and grabbed him.

Tremendous force tightened around his abdomen, a dizzying sense of emptiness enveloped Harry. He was horrified to find that he couldn't even scream.

As he saw himself getting farther from the castle, a sense of despair rose within him. In the blink of an eye, Moonlit Castle appeared tiny in his eyes.

Just then, a massive vibration echoed. Harry heard a thunderous sound, and the flying dragon suddenly veered off and spiraled several times.

Simultaneously, the dragon released its grip, and Harry plummeted rapidly towards the ground.

Swoosh—

Moon appeared, grabbing Harry by the collar, looking at the dragon with surprise.

Unexpectedly, a dragon appeared in the depths of this forest.

If Lucifer hadn't reminded him in time, he might have considered swallowing this brat alive.

Speaking of...

Moon raised the collar he was holding and suddenly felt a lightness. Looking down, he found Harry slipping out along with the collar.

?? Your clothes are so big?

Just as he was about to dive down and catch the other person again, a shadow appeared, catching Harry smoothly.

Harry, seeing the approaching figure, instinctively grabbed onto the person and flipped over, realizing later that he was sitting on a broomstick.

What surprised him was that, although it was his first time riding a broomstick, it felt incredibly natural and effortless. Looking at the forest below, he felt no fear.

To be honest, if it weren't for today's incident, Moon would have forgotten that this guy had a flying broomstick. After ensuring Harry was unharmed, he looked at the flying dragon.

The dragon aimed at Moon, opened its huge mouth, and spewed out flames.

Moon's pupils turned into vertical lines, his expression unchanged. A thunderbolt shot from his hand, dispelling the flames. However, it landed on the dragon in the next moment, causing its skin to crack open and emitting thick black smoke.

The thunder contained in it made the dragon convulse, rendering it unable to flap its wings, and it fell straight down.

In Harry's astonished gaze, Moon extended his right hand, and a black bow appeared on the back of his hand. His left hand made a bow-pulling motion, and an arrow with a visually impactful force gradually took shape along his arm.

Just as the arrow was about to be released, a grand voice like a bell rang out in the forest.

"Please stop!!"

Harry saw a mist pass over Moon's face, and in an instant, the cat face was hidden.

Looking in the direction of the voice, a figure riding a broomstick swiftly approached.

"Please stop! Spare its life." An anxious young man with red hair said urgently.

Moon's arrow gradually disappeared, and he looked at the newcomer, frowning slightly. "Who are you?"

The man came closer, looking at the dragon lying injured in the forest, and quickly said, "Sir, can you allow me to take a look at that dragon first?"

Moon observed the man for a moment, finding him of average strength, but the concern in his eyes for the injured dragon did not seem fake. He nodded.

The man quickly flew down to the forest, took a glance at the heavily injured dragon lying on its side, and quickly pulled out his wand, casting healing spells on the dragon and applying some unknown powder to its wounds.

Harry flew to Moon's side, somewhat alert. "Uncle Moon, who is this?"

Moon shook his head. "Don't know, maybe it's the owner of this dragon? If that's the case, I might have to extort him a bit."

After saying that, he patted Harry's forehead, covered his scar with hair to prevent it from being blown open by the wind. Then, he descended to the ground, and Harry followed suit.

Seeing Moon descending, the man became nervous. He hadn't expected that this person could not only fly without a broomstick but also inflict such injuries on a dragon single-handedly.

After Moon observed him providing basic treatment to the dragon, he asked, "Can you introduce yourself now?"

The man nodded, nervously saying, "Sir, thank you for stopping at the last moment. My name is Charlie Weasley, an intern at the Romanian Dragon Reserve."

A Dragon Reserve... is it that formalized?

"So, what about this dragon?"

"It's a newly discovered wild Norwegian Ridgeback. Frankly, we didn't expect to find wild dragons still. The Reserve speculates that it escaped from under the control of dark wizards, so they urgently sent us to capture and recover it. We don't want it harming too many Muggles."

"Muggles?" Moon was puzzled.

Are there valuable herb gardens nearby? Or is it a cherished specialty in the Nordic region?

"Uh..." Charlie opened his mouth, then gathered courage and said, "Muggles are our term for non-magical ordinary people."

Moon suddenly understood, "Oh, oh, you mean Muggles. Sorry, my ears aren't very good."

"So, there are people from your side around here?" Moon continued.

Charlie nodded, "Yes, sir. Can I call them over?"

Although it sounded a bit humble, Charlie couldn't help being cautious. The strange man in front of him was too powerful. His mom had told him to be extremely careful when traveling, and just because the dark wizards had hidden since the death of the mysterious man didn't mean they had vanished.

"Of course, you don't need to be nervous. I'm not a bad person," Moon said, somewhat disappointed, waving his hand.

Unfortunately, he couldn't extort him.

With Moon's approval, Charlie raised his wand, and red and blue fireworks shot out from the tip of the wand, exploding high in the sky like fireworks.

"Alright, my colleagues will come immediately after seeing this." Charlie retracted his wand.

Moon nodded, but during this wait, he wouldn't waste the opportunity. Finally encountering a wizard he could communicate with, he needed to gather more information.

"Charlie, considering your young age, how did you start working?"

Charlie hadn't expected the sudden conversation but had to answer. He actually wanted to conduct more checks on the Norwegian Ridgeback. After reluctantly taking his gaze away from the dragon, he replied, "Yes, I'm still a student, about to enter the seventh grade. I'm doing a holiday internship, and dragons are my biggest hobby."

"I see, not many students with career plans like yours. Thinking back to my time... cough cough. By the way, where do you go to school?"

"I go to Hogwarts." Charlie nodded and then looked at Harry standing next to Moon. "If you're from this side of the North, your child should be at Durmstrang." Charlie said.

"No, he's in England. We're just... temporarily living here," Moon explained.

"Oh, then it's Hogwarts. Looks like we'll be alumni." Charlie smiled, shaking hands with Harry.

Charlie, entering the seventh grade, over ten years old, the school...

In other words, the entrance age for Hogwarts should be between ten and twelve...

Moon hugged Harry, smiling, "Yes, this child is almost at the age to enter school. By the way, do you know where is the best place to buy school supplies for children? Like some places where wizards often go, etc... Sorry, I've been living in such a remote place and rarely go out."

Charlie waved his hand, smiling, "I understand. Wizards do tend to live far from Muggles. My family is the same. Speaking of the places we often go to, it should be Diagon Alley. It's inside Charing Cross Road in London. There's a pub called the Leaky Cauldron, which is also the entrance to Diagon Alley. It's easy to find, very old, and doesn't match other shops. Of course, Muggles can't see it."

"I see, thanks."

After getting the information he wanted, Moon couldn't resist the urge to go and see. After bidding farewell, he took Harry away.

In no time, Charlie's colleagues arrived at the scene and, seeing the heavily injured Norwegian Ridgeback, all took a sharp breath.

"Charlie, what happened here?" One person asked in shock, still circling Charlie, checking if he was injured.

"I'm fine," Charlie said, then suddenly lowered his voice, "I encountered a very powerful wizard. He defeated the dragon. If I had been a bit later, it might have died."

"How is that possible? This is a dragon!!" The person's face was full of disbelief, then asked, "Could it be one of those powerful old wizards who have been lurking outside the world for a long time?"

The idea of wizards, who make a living with knowledge and their brains, becoming stronger with age was logical. Charlie nodded solemnly, "Yes, that's what I think too. He actually asked me where to buy things, obviously, he hasn't been in contact with the outside world for many years. And I felt magical fluctuations on his face, probably to appear younger. Otherwise, he wouldn't say his ears aren't good."

Charlie deduced that Moon was a lonely, powerful old wizard living deep in the Scandinavian Mountains, and that child should be his grandson. Perhaps his son and daughter-in-law had met an accident during the previous Voldemort war.

In just a short moment, Charlie had deduced a story of a lonely, powerful old wizard living in seclusion in the mountains, taking care of his grandson.

If Moon heard Charlie's words, he would surely give him a good beating and then tell him that the spells on his face were not for appearing younger.

And he was not an old man babysitting his grandson.
