Chapter 28: Twenty Eight

The celebration was finally over, and Duchess Brianna was waiting in Historia's room. Historia immediately opened the door and entered her room, where she found Duchess Brianna sitting and waiting for her.

"I apologize for the delay, Duchess Brianna; I just can't get away from the Emperor," Historia says as she curtsies to the Duchess.

Duchess Brianna smiled and spoke. "Don't mind it. Arien already told me that Lady Vivian was speaking with you and later with Duke Zion, so it doesn't bother me at all. I am the one who accepts the invitation anyway," Duchess Brianna says after Historia sits on the couch in front of her.
