Chapter 16: A Special Proposal

A sly smile crept on my face as I recalled my 'proposal' with Serena two days. To ensure that things go as planned, in my favour obviously, I didn't tell her that I would be doing the cooking in my home, not in the city at the penthouse.

"Hello beautiful! I'm downstairs", I hung up the phone. I needed some time alone with her, I needed her to be in my territory where she won't be able to slip through my fingers easily.

"So, where are we having the dinner?" She spoke as soon as she got in.

I took my time to drink in her appearance as usual, she's breathtaking! "You'll see when we get there".

She looked at me suspiciously and gave her usual little shrug, "okay".

It was a cool breezy night, I rolled down the glass to let the air in, I glanced sideways to see her eyes closed and a hand outside, feeling the air brushed past her skin as we sped off.
