I hugged my parents tightly as we bid our goodbyes. I took my suitcase and dragged it to the person at the front of the auditorium who placed a tag on it and told me where to put it.
I wrote my name on the tag and placed it on of the compartments in the room. I was then sent to a different room that had the words "GAYS" on it in big bold letters. I was a bit confused by it but I shrugged it off and took a seat. A few minutes later the ceremony began.
You're probably wondering what's going on so let me explain. My parents and I were struggling in poverty but when I was 9 years old the government decided that all teenagers once they reached the age of 16, they should become slaves until the age of 25. They have these ceremonies for us, in which we are given to different masters/mistresses. Now that you're up to speed let's continue.
The ceremony only consisted of the rules and regulations of being a slave. It was kind of boring to be honest but I guess it was informative.
But the part everyone was waiting for, who was our master? One by one men came onto the stage and called our names, I guess those were our masters.
I sat in my seat, anxiety running through my veins. After what seemed like an hour they're were 20 of us left. But I saw one of the men looking at me, observing my every action.
As he took the stage he called out a name. "Park Ji-Hun" As the person stood up he raised his eyebrow in confusion. "I don't want him, I like that one, and he's the one I'm taking." He was pointing directly at me and I just froze.
"Yah! Are you deaf? I'm taking you so get your stuff" He looked at me in annoyance. I quickly got up and went to get my suitcase. I took it and went to the entrance of the building where I waited for my master.
After a couple seconds I felt a tap on my shoulder so I turned around to see my master.
"Are you ready, Master?" I asked. He nodded with a soft smile.
We entered his limousine and he began talking. "Listen to me clearly, I don't like stubborn people, if I ask you to do a task you do it, no questions, do you understand me?" I gulped before answering. "Yes, Sir"
"What's your name?" He asked, looking down to his phone. "Jeon Jungkook, may I ask yours?"
"I'm Kim Taehyung." Before I could respond he began talking once more. "Jeon Jungkook, 16. Birthday, September 1. Height, 179 centimeters- anyway, let's get down to my rules" He said pushing his phone back in his pocket.
I raised an eyebrow, "What rules, Master?"
"You refer to me as Master or Sir, unless I tell you to call me something else. You do anything I say, or you face consequences. Don't ever talk back to me, what I say is final. If you behave well you get to see your family once a week. And lastly, don't let me have to call you twice"
"Alright, Master" I replied.
We later arrived at his house, it was large but I wouldn't call it a mansion. I followed behind him. He carried me to a nicely decorated room. He placed my suitcase down and said "I'll be in my room down the hall, don't call me unless it's necessary."
I nodded and he left. I began unpacking my stuff, while thinking about my family. I really hope doing this could help but then again I didn't have a choice...
While packing I saw there was a phone, it was still in a sealed box so I guess it was new, there was also a piece of paper with his number on it.
I unwrapped the box and took out the gadget. I was confused on how it worked, I didn't even know how to turn it on so I took it to Master.
I knocked on his door and he soon opened it. "Can I help you?" he asked. "I don't know how to use it" I said a bit embarrassed.
He signalled me to come in. I went in and sat on his bed. He sat beside me and showed me how to do the basic things such as turning it on, calling and texting someone, taking pictures, saving contacts and downloading games.
"Thank you, Master. I'll be in my room now" I said with a small bow. "No you're going to clean, the cleaning stuff are in the pantry."
"Alright, Master, I'll get to it right away" I said with enthusiasm.
And that was the beginning of my life here. Get ready it's a bumpy ride...
