Chapter 29: You Think You've Won?

Later that evening, my meeting with Lucia gets cancelled. Matter of fact, the whole dinner is called off. Mr. Adonis' health takes a turn for the worse, and I am told to stay in my room, and that someone will be sent to bring my dinner. 

The situation seems dire. But I would never know because nobody keeps me in the loop. However, judging by the frantic movements and the phone calls being made, I can tell things are going south. 

A few minutes later, I hear a knock at my bedroom door. I walk over and when I open the door, I meet a male omega just about my age holding a tray. He has long blonde hair tied in a ponytail and his eyes are big and blue and in them is a glimmer of something hateful. He looks like I've seen him before, but I just can't recall where. I wonder if we've met in the real world and didn't get along. 

"Here's your dinner." He says, regarding me closely. His tone is gruff.
