A man squirmed and screamed in terror.

The gold wolf lowered his head toward the man, eyeing him closely, making sure he recognized the man behind the wolf's eyes.

"No!" the human begged, lifting his arms to shield his face, but it did no good against the gold wolf's glistening teeth.
He was dead in seconds, the gold wolf tossing the upper half of his body away from the lower half.
The torso landed near another human, drawing his attention.
"Corbin! No!" the soldier yelled in disbelief, spinning to look at Kelly.
"Monster!" He dropped his bow and arrow and drew his broadsword from the sheath at his hip.
He advanced toward the gold wolf with little fear in his gaze.
He wanted revenge.
