Dom was also working in another desk. Despite his innate talkativeness, he was highly skilled and competent in his job. As a matter of fact, he had long surpassed his qualifications for his job as Iris' assistant. 

However, he refused to leave even when both Iris and Jin Liwei offered him other "better" opportunities like becoming a CEO like his younger sister, Clover Chua. It was easy for either Iris or Jin Liwei to give Dom a company to run. He had the education and the experience after watching and assisting Iris establish so many businesses in a short period of time.
