Chapter 62: Eira... I'll have you drained today

Ilkar left after that intense conversation that left Eiaravyne feeling emotionally drained and confused. 

As she waited through the night for him to return, the weight of his words lingered heavily on her mind. 

But he never came back. Eventually, exhaustion overtook her, and she fell asleep on the bed, still wearing the dress from the ball.

The next morning dawned with a sense of surreal discomfort. Eiravyne woke feeling disoriented, her thoughts swirling with the revelations from the previous night. 

She sat up slowly. Eiravyne was certain about a few things.

Firstly, Ilkar seemed to harbor a deeper resentment towards her than she had ever imagined.

 Secondly, the unsettling truth that he kept her not just for her blood but for some mysterious other reason gnawed at her thoughts.
