Chapter 163: Benefit of the doubt

"Becky, can you get me something for my headache?" He ordered his assistant who just entered his office to give him some documents and informed him that Melissa was outside.

But before Becky could respond, Melissa walked into the office without waiting for his permission.

"What happened to you?" Melissa asked, who automatically sat on the chair in front of him. "Were you drinking again last night?"

"I just had a couple of drinks with the guys. Don't act like I am overdoing it." He answered Melissa who was only aggravating his headache. This would not qualify as a hangover since he did only drank two glasses of scotch which would hardly make him intoxicated.

What he was experiencing was just a regular headache that he wished to go away. Now, he felt that it was about to get worse with Melissa's visit. Whatever she was here for, he knew that he would not like it.
