Walking slowly in this empty street, the calm evening breeze blows at my long blonde hair softly when I hear a small whimper coming from a pile of trash in front of a closed grocery store.
I walk towards it in a quest to find out what made the sound when I see a furry black tail under some trash.
Carefully, I remove the trash and see a black puppy, laying weak and beautiful even with it's dirty fur. It moves a little and whimpers again when it notices my presence and I coo, carrying it gently like a new born babe.
"Coochy-coochy coo," I say calmly, stroking it's back and then it rests in my arms like it just found it's long lost warmth. I wonder who'd lose such a cute puppy and leave it to suffer all alone in this cold lonely world.
Just then, I hear a snarl followed by a growl behind me and I turn around swiftly, holding the puppy closer and firmer in my arms having a strong will to protect it from any harm.
A giant bull, so tall and so huge with eyes so dark like the heart of the night. It emits a really strong power, and the more I look into its eyes, the more vulnerable I feel but I can't seem to tear my eyes away from its.
Slowly, I lose control of my body and before I know it, I place the helpless puppy on the ground in front of this ferocious animal against my own will, like a puppet controlled by a puppeteer.
The puppy tries to move but is too weak and all my body is allowed to do is stand still and watch in silence as the bull devours the puppy like a bulldozer, tears spilling out of my eyes and my heart aching. Why did I let it possess me? Why am I so weak and useless. I should have protected it. I should have freaking protected it but no, all I did was watch.
The bull suddenly disappears and I get my control back, the blood of the puppy spilled in front of me and the darkness starts to fade into light.
The sun rising and shining directly into my eyes, causing me to squint and just then, it becomes less bright allowing me open my eyes but then, I find myself somewhere else.
Blinking multiple times, I see a champagne gold coloured ceiling and I realise I'm lying in a bed. A really large and soft bed. Immediately, I sit up and look around the well furnished room with a couch, a dresser and mirror, a small drawer just beside the bed with a lamp on it amongst others.
The sun shining through the closed curtain makes me realise it was all just a dream and I'm still in Sean's house. I knew I'd wake up and sadly, I did. I look at my body and realise I'm no longer in my tattered clothes but in a really comfortable and cozy white hoodie and long black trousers.
The foul smell that's been lingering with me is no where to be found and my 'bird-nest' hair is combed and tangled free. I feel like a new person. Did he clean and change me? A thought pops up in my head and immediately, I pull down the waist band of my trouser a little and realise I'm putting on a panty that I don't remember owning.
"Oh no", I whisper to myself, my face turning red like a big healthy tomato.
"I'd rather not think about that" I say to myself.
Dylan would be so disappointed in me if he finds out. ''You killed him already Crystal'' a voice says in my head and I tear up immediately, feeling broken and empty. Alone and helpless. Jake should have killed me right from the start.
"And deprive me from having you?" Sean's voice sounds calmly but I'm still startled a little as I look up and find him sitting on the couch in a corner of the room with a glass of wine in his hand, smirking at me. How did I not hear him come in?His mere presence irritates me so much I wish I could just kill him and myself right after.
"You look at me with so much hate and resent, making me wonder what I might've done," he gets up and comes to sit on the bed thankfully leaving a reasonable amount of space between us.
"If I remember correctly," he smirks again annoyingly, "the last time we both sat on a bed, you didn't just want to sit and stare."
Geez! No. I can't believe I did all that! I'm just a pathetic being that shouldn't be allowed to take a single breath without pain.
I ball my hands in a fist, trying hard to restrain from saying anything or smacking that sick smile off his annoyingly beautiful face.
"Oh come on now," he says again as he lays on his back, folding his arms at the back of his head like a pillow. "It wasn't so bad, we could continue from where we stopped. I mean, that was the deal right?"
"What?", I find myself saying without even thinking and his eyes widen, surprised I opened my mouth.
"The deal?. You sick little coward hypnotised me and made me do all that. You made me kill Jake and my Dylan and now you say deal? Don't you even have the slightest bit of conscience?"
He look at me in amusement, like a child watching his father juggle his toys and it annoys me even more. What's so amusing about what I just said?
"You wanna go for a walk later?", He asks out of the blue and I frown at him, confused. "We could walk through the fields, holding hands and kiss right under the beautiful sunset."
I've always known him to be a blood thirsty lunatic but now, I know he's really going gaga.
"You don't have to." He chuckles lowly, "But if you want to, I'm ready whenever you are."
This Sean right here seems very different from the one that picked me up from the woods and took me to a room where he ruined my life and its all surprising and suspicious. He's supposed to be like a devil to me, tormenting, terrorizing and torturing me not giving me food and asking me to walk with him. I'm sure something's up. I'm sure he's doing all this for a purpose and I'm not even the slightest bit interested in any more drama. I'd rather die.
"What do you want from me?", I ask with defiance, not cut out for whatever stunt he wants to pull.
"Your heart Crystal," he looks me in the eye and I avert my gaze immediately, scared that he might possess me once more, "Your heart."
