Chapter 3: Someone She Never Expected To See
Tansy had just gotten out of the Uber and was looking for her keys in her bag. She found them, opened her door and went in.
She immediately laid on her sofa and started going through her phone.
Tansy decided to check if her audition video was out and luckily it was. She was so happy as she watched it and was glad the the comments were very positive and congratulatory.

Tansy's expression changed drastically and she turned off her phone and shut her eyes.
'This is just the beginning... I'll make them regret saying this'
She had a week left before she would officially join the set and so she was excited about that. Yes, there will be difficulties because she was a rookie but she wasn't going to let that discourage her.
*ding*
She opened her phone to check the notification. It was a reply to the hater's comment,

When she read it, she blushed and shut her eyes back.
'I'll show them how it's done'

It had stopped raining and Xavier had left after asking her to be his friend.
As she laid on her bed, facing the ceiling, Zuri could not help but wonder,
'I don't believe in two coincidences but he's gone so those had to be metely coincidences'
She took the small box that was on her bedside table and opened it.
Inside laid a silver vintage looking necklace with 'J' as the pendant.
Zuri began to tear up as she held unto it. But she quickly wiped her eyes and put the necklace back into the box.
'I can never forget you'
The next morning, Zuri woke up in a rather good mood. She hummed her favorite tunes as she got ready for work.
After bathing, she decided to cahbge her original stern woman look to a more friendly look.
She wore a blue zip back wrap ruched dress and a pair of silver flat shoes. She completed the look with her silver earrings and her hair was as curly and wavy as always.
Zuri was about to leave her room when her eyes landed on the box on the table. In the end she decided to wear the necklace and left for work.
When she got down from the car and was entering the building, the employees that were outside stared at her in awe. They couldn't believe that their boss, who always wore stern looking outfits was actually wearing a lovely dress and looking younger.
The attention did not faze her as she kept walking with an indifferent expression to her elevator.
*ding*
As she opened the door, the scene from when Xavier called her cute came to her mind. She just laughed inwardly and entered. It was time for her to work but first she had to conduct the check up.
Zuri dropped her bag on the sofa and headed towards the VIP ward. When she got to Xavier's room she was about to knock but stopped herself when she heard a familiar voice coming from inside.
It seemed like the person was coming out so she subconsciously hid behind a wall.
The man who had come out had an anxious look on his face. He felt someone was there but he didn't think much of it and left.
Zuri came out from where she was hiding and stood in front of Xavier's door.
The person she had seen... it was someone she never expected to see... Mr Gatlin.
Suddenly, thoughts of the past flashed in her mind and she went back to her office.
By the time she had reached her office, Zuri was drenched in cold sweat as the memories she tried so hard to bury, started to surface and it hurt her a lot.
Zuri decided to go through her company documents to get her mind off it.
After about three hours of non-stop working she walked over to her sofa.
She took off her shoes and laid on the sofa. After sometime, her eyes closed and she slowly fell asleep.
