"Everything? You won't hold me accountable if something goes wrong, right?" Lucas asked the interviewer.
He laughed out loud and said, "You're 50 levels too weak to do anything to me, boy. But if you, by some miracle, manage to hurt me, I won't make you take responsibility so you don't have to worry."
Lucas nodded calmly after hearing his words.
Obviously, he wasn't going to use literally everything on the interviewer, as that would cause countless problems.
"Whenever you're ready." The interviewer stood in the arena in a relaxed manner, almost like he wasn't about to fight, clearly not taking Lucas seriously.
However, that wasn't the interviewer being arrogant or cocky, as he was level 60, and there's no way a level 13 could harm him— at least not logically speaking.
"Oh, wait. I forgot to mention something. You can use your weapon if you want." The interviewer quickly added.
Lucas didn't ask any questions and retrieved his steel sword.
Once he was prepared, Lucas kicked his feet and began running at the bulky man, who still stood there nonchalantly.
[Empowered Strike!]
Lucas used Empowered Strike on the interviewer without holding back.
The sword flew at the bulky man fiercely, but the man still held a calm look on his face.
And just as the sword was about to reach his body, the interviewer shifted his body slightly, barely dodging the strike.
"That's your ability? How boring."
The interviewer didn't even bother to hide his disappointment afterward.
Lucas didn't mind it and tried to attack him again but with a little more speed and strength this time.
Once again, the man dodged it flawlessly right before the sword reached his body.
This continued for a few minutes, and Lucas' speed would continue to increase.
His speed eventually reached a point where the interviewer could no longer take Lucas as a joke, forcing him to focus on their fight more seriously.
After a few more minutes, the interviewer made his first move and attacked Lucas with his fist.
Although he was surprised by the sudden attack, Lucas instinctively dodged this fist that felt like it had the force of a mountain supporting it.
Seeing Lucas' somewhat surprised face, the bulky man smiled and said, "Did you think I wouldn't attack you?"
"Anyways, let's continue. I won't be attacking you constantly, but the moment I land a hit on you, the interview ends."
A few moments later, Lucas continued to try to land a successful hit on the bulky man, but he also had to be on alert for sudden retaliation, making it much harder for him.
Up until this point, Lucas has only used one of his abilities, and that was the Empowered Strike, so the bulky man was beginning to think that was all of Lucas' abilities.
Although most people are born with only one ability, some people are born with more than one ability, and the more ability one has the more talented they are considered.
For example, people with only one ability are regular players, but an individual with two abilities is considered a gifted player, and the chances of someone having more than one ability is one in a million.
As for those who are born with three abilities— a one in ten million chance— they are called elite players.
The chances of someone having four abilities is one in a hundred million, and they are called true prodigies.
As for players with more than four abilities, there are only a handful of people in the world with that many abilities, and they are all people with Hero-rank character statuses.
There are methods of acquiring new abilities, such as skill books that are incredibly rare, but even with these methods, it's not guaranteed that someone can learn a new ability.
Meaning even if someone has a skill book, they won't be able to learn the ability if their body isn't capable of containing them.
As for someone like Lucas, who currently has nine abilities and counting— it was unprecedented and would definitely shock the world if known.
Whoosh! Whoosh! Whoosh!
Lucas had reached the peak of his speed at this moment without using Vanishing Steps.
Meanwhile, other people in the gymnasium have taken notice of their intense fight and became interested.
Very quickly, a crowd gathered around their arena to watch them more closely.
"Who's that kid? His movements are a little rough, but he's got good speed and decent skills with the sword."
"He should be around level 20 if not higher based on his combat prowess."
While the spectators guessed Lucas' level, the interviewer was actually shocked by Lucas' combat prowess as a level 13, and he even began doubting Lucas' level.
'Is he really level 13? How can a level 13 move so quickly and hit so hard? Even some of the level 30s that I have fought before don't have such combat prowess!'
In the midst of his thoughts, Lucas suddenly disappeared from his sight.
'What?! Where did he go?!'
The bulky man began looking left and right, but he couldn't see Lucas anywhere.
Then he sensed a presence behind him that caused a chill assault his body.
Immediately after sensing this chill, the bulky man activated his ability, covering his body in this semi-transparent blue glow.
Ding!
A steel sword suddenly collided with the side of his body the next second, leaving the man and the spectator in a daze.
The bulky man turned around to see that Lucas had attacked him from behind, and if it wasn't for his instinctive reaction and defensive ability, he would've suffered a grievous wound from Lucas' strike.
"You little bastard… You really intended on striking me at full force with that attack. If I hadn't defended against it, there would be a sword in my body right now…" The bulky man looked at Lucas with wide eyes.
Although he felt that Lucas had gone too far in their examination, he also admired Lucas' boldness. After all, if it had been another instructor, Lucas might've actually killed him.
