Chapter 40: Chapter Thirty nine

Madeline was gradually losing her mind being cooped up in the house with thoughts of what her husband did to her for company, slowly driving her insane.

She needed to talk to someone or she will be literally insane.

She had yet to wrap her head around the fact that her husband raped her last night.

If anyone had told her that Daryl Smith was capable of such a thing, at least to her, she would have called them a liar, but here she is, a prisoner in her own home, living with a mad man that she has as solute no idea of what he was capable of next.

Madeline made her way from the bedroom to the living room, pacing from one corner to the next as she waited for the call she placed to go through.

"Please pick up, " she cried in her mind, the phone held to her ear as she listened to it ring.
