I can now protect our daughter and myself. I even joined your agency. I promise to bring justice to you. I promise to finish what you started. Just please...."

She choked on her sobs, letting the words hang in the air. What was she doing? Levi was gone and he won't come back to her. 

She suddenly felt stupid, embarrassment washing over her. "I am sorry, sir. I have to go now." She turned around and ran off not caring for the weird looks she received.

Zane's heart broke again for a different reason. "Go to her. Here. Contact me when you are ready to talk again. Until then, have a nice day."

As he strode off, he could hear the painful sobs resonating in his ears. His heart ached for both. It was one thing to have a one-sided love.
