Chapter 163: She Wakes

Jasmine opened her eyes with great difficulty. As her eyes drifted around, she realized that she was in a strange place.

The light was dim. The only light in the room was coming outside the window. Her hand moved to touch her head only to come into contact with a soft piece of clothing.

She was in a hospital room. Her body felt quite tired from lying down but she couldn't move. As she tried to raise her right hand, it felt heavy like a lead.

With a frown, she gazed towards her hand only for her panicked gaze to soften.  That mane of hair and those manly features only belonged to one person.

Her man! A small smile formed on her lips as she caressed his hair with the hand that laid idle.

How long has she been here? What really happened to her? The last thing she recalled was falling asleep in Jay's office.
