Chapter 395: Closure

They shared a warm meal that carried a heavy weight in his heart. At some point, he even shed a few tears. Everything felt so overwhelming.

Perhaps it's because he felt loved and cared for by the kindness she portrayed. In his current state, he was more sensitive than he had ever been.

Arya watched the table being cleared, helped her child clean up and turned her attention back to him. She had been here with him for almost two hours now.

It was almost time for her baby's nap. However, before parting ways, there were things she needed to say to the man.

She thought for a while before stretching her hand and taking hold of Alex's. The man watched in awe and wonder, freezing upon the touch.

It was healing to his soul. He didn't know he needed to feel her tenderness to feel complete again. Her gesture touched him in ways he couldn't begin to describe.
