Chapter 3: Chapter 3 - NPC Encounter

"Yesterday is gone. Tomorrow has yet to come. We have only today. Let us begin." - Mother Teresa

Indeed, life is all about starting anew; once the previous chapter seems accomplished, new ones await you. Moving ahead in anticipation of unforeseen challenges is what distinguishes humans from AI. Emotions and feelings are what prevent us from being ruthless and order-following robots. But what we frequently neglect is to treasure the hours we have with ourselves. That is something Yeol also overlooked. She was never grateful for what she had. It might be friends, family, or love. But I was confident that this leverage moron would be the quintessential example of a decent human being. A game changed her life by changing her charisma and preparing her for the extroverted community.

*In-game scene*

"Why are there so many negative spirits in the master's palace? Let me go down there and investigate, "a woman flying on the sword said.

That woman, of course, was Yeol's character. She could sense the pictures' realism. In virtual reality, she flies through the air.

*Note - NPC Means Non-player Character*

NPC Liner guided Yeol's character saying, "Alverous Demon devastated our tribe, and now you're back. Master left you the order".

Chapter 1

The demon arises to create misery.

The majesty skies hint's the mystery.

"Here! this is the order from the master," NPC Liner said by handling the ancient scroll in Yeol's hand.

The scroll reads the following information:

Yeol

You've finally returned from your trip, my foolish follower.

There have been several reports of demon activity on Mt. Quin. Something horrible is about to happen, in my opinion. I've already conducted a ground-breaking investigation. I require your prompt assistance. With this letter, I've included a currency bag. The old guy Yu said it had an artifact, but I couldn't open it. I'm hoping you can figure it out. Anyway, I'll see you shortly when my research is thorough and keep battling till then. Move to Xianlin town since there is where the demons want to go next.

Xu, your Master

*Note: EXP stands for experience, which aids in leveling up.

Yeol took a cash pouch in payment for additional experience points. She was now at LVL 3 and had leaped two levels merely by utilizing a currency bag.

"The appearance and disappearance of everything are predestined. Your story begins in the town of Xianlin, Yeol," NPC Ye Peak said while offering her the G1 green sword gear to quip, which boosted her combat power by 220 points.

Yeol continued with her flying sword, which was a preregistration present. She liked conversing with NPCs and hearing their stories. Her initial task was to kill wicked eagle demons to preserve Wu Fairy (NPC character). As a result of completing the quest, she will receive 5000 silver ingots and 120 experience points. Indeed, she performed her objective, saved Wu Fairy, and received a decent reward on her own. Wu Fairy gave her G1 green glove gear as a special present, and she leveled up to 4, raising her combat power by 500 points.

Upon reaching the Xianlin town's gate Sentu Yi, one more NPC gifted her 10K silver ingots along with 160EXP. Talk about Yeol's luck. She got those rewards for her accomplishment of dungeons before the time limit with SSS rank. Her ability to advance through levels faster allowed her to finish the levels prompter than other players. The benefit of controllers made her weapon and magical staff move quicker.

"Sentu Yi Master, can I ask for little details about the rewards you gave? I was able to spend EXP to level up, but I was unable to overcome the game's usage of silver ingots. Is it relevant in any way?" spoke Yeol.

"Ingots are the in-game money used to buy multiple equipment and stuff from the market and stores, not to mention events," Sentu Yi stated.

"In-game money is divided into four types mentioned below:"

1) Silver Ingots - This resource enhances weapons and armor by pivoting on their gear level. The players can level up their equipped weapons to a certain extent. For example, G1 gears improve till level 10, and those levels rise as you advance in-game. NPC merchants specializing in enhancing players' equipment can help you for a modest price in silver ingots. By conquering in-game dungeons and rescuing NPCs, you might be able to gain silver.

2) Bound Gold Ingots - These ingots have a diminutive lock in the lower-left corner. These ingots are utilized for making purchases at stores and during events. In-game achievements are the source of earning this type of currency.

3) Gold Ingots - These are identical to Bound ingots, except they lack the lock. It is significant through topping up or selling products in the Global Market, which might be difficult if you don't have any rare stuff. Oh, and these ingots will also get you the VIP title. 999 Gold Ingots are required to unlock VIP4. Correspondingly, VIP1 costs 199 nuggets, and VIP2 charges 599 Gold. In other words, this is the supreme cash that distinguishes you from the other participants. Gold ingot owners are generally P2W gamers. F2P gamers are individuals who only have Bound Ingots and Silver Ingots. Obtaining these ingots can be real trouble as it mandates you to swipe up your credit or debit cards.

4) Arena Jade - You want to get this currency following daily arena tournaments and use it at the arena store, a unique shop. There are affordable goods for sale.

Yeol asked out of curiosity, "What are P2W players and F2P gamers? What is the difference between them?"

"Let's see, P2W is an acronym for Pay to Win, and F2P stands for Free to Play. This game has some currency that requires you to acquire by swiping out your cards, and by cards, I mean real cards. In other words, the player who invests real money in-game will be stronger since they will receive unique gifts and talents from Top-up events. Free-to-play users do not invest money in games; they want to play for free and unwind," Sentu Yi articulated.

A succession of popups appeared on Yeol's headgear. Those were system notifications from other players in HKT4 who were gaining miraculous items. An intriguing and enchanting world to discover. Nonetheless, she was level 10 and had already learned much about the game. She was eager to experience more of the fantastical world to escape the lonely realities of the original world.
